The only democratic thing to do would be harassing Kronos into a veto.😁
Did it carry not? Simple majority or more required?
It carried.
The only democratic thing to do would be harassing Kronos into a veto.😁
As any true Canadian Hero and Patriot knows, democracy and justice come at a price. I offer Kronos 2,000 Q5 tanks to do with as he pleases in exchange for a veto of congress's pardon.
Seriously, 12 votes from 40 congressmen constitute a majority that establishes a pardon? And again, abstainers. People are elected to congress to govern, not sit on the fence. I have less disdain for congressmen who don't vote at all, but for a congressmen to actually log into the forum to record a vote to abstain is ridiculous, grow some balls.
The eCanadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Section III: Rights and Freedoms of the Executive
III.1) The President of Canada is the head of the government as chosen in-game each month by the citizens of eCanada. The President has the Right to:
c) veto any motion passed by congress that falls outside in-game mechanics. The Speaker of the House must be informed of any Veto.
Interesting. I here talk of a veto already. Who can and for what reason?
Thank you Mr Lawrence for clarifying.
The eCanadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Section II: Rights and Freedoms of Congress
II.1 d) discuss and approve any Presidential order with a majority of 51% of congress or overturn any Presidential veto with the approval of 65% of Congress
Funky perhaps you could include the names of those that didnt bother to vote at all
I will not interfere with whatever decision they make, as is my opinion, it is Congress that is best suited for the bulk of domestic issues in eCanada, such as this one. -Kronos Q
Will the president stay true to his word? What will happen with Rolo? All this and more on the next episode of eCanada: Mother of Drama

8 congressmen from EPIC failed to vote on this motion. Now is that egalitarianism in action or what?
The only democratic thing to do would be harassing Kronos into a veto.😁 x3
Thank you for posting, Funky. infrakkindeed
Dice are loaded and they're rolling 7s squared
(7x222 = Day 1554, wowzers)
Damn you Addy, I will now have to google egalitarianism and hope that helps. You could of just went with EPIC fail.
A lot of those are EPIC because they left CPP.
^all the more reason to vote No to the pardon one would think
😁spot on😁
BTW, not exactly fair to include KQ in the Congressmembers that didn't vote. As CP, he gave up his right to being a Congress member.
Ooooh how nice, a list of people to rip apart if all goes wrong.

They can come at me all they want, I'll be waiting for 'em

Don't sound so hateful, no one get's anywhere good with hate.
Besides, don't mess with someone who suffers from Sadistic Personality Dosorder, even if it is ze internetz
Sasha, there are times where hatred for stupid decisions by people who voted on vague inclinations, favour and blind optimism is completely justified and helps keep people motivated.
I didn't vote because I was Speaker.
Speaker can vote
That's why I put a special little extension in your bracket to read as "Speaker". All for you, special one.
No, I know I can vote but I rarely do. If I were to vote and something were to go wrong, anything I say can't be trusted as neutral, Since I choose a side, the press and public can take what I say and twist it to make it seem I'm being biased.
In RL the Speaker of the house can't vote
I believe the speaker votes in a tie and probably only in matters of confidence.
There are no ties except when the CP breaks one for a Deputy Speaker vote if the Speaker fails to nominate one, a regular vote needs 51% at least to pass.
Out of curiosity here is the RL answer for Canada
The Speaker, according to the constitution, cannot vote unless his or her vote would break a tie, in which case convention dictates that he or she must vote so as to maintain the status quo, which includes voting confidence in the government. Because of this, the minority government can slightly weaken the opposition's power by electing an opposition speaker.
I hope this will be the last permanent ban the SC give to an eCanadian.
Permanent ban serve no purpose. I'm glad than after more than a year we can get over this controversy.
sometimes I heart you Max
@Katey: Whaddya mean, "if"?
Rigour, beware of those Valentines. My pet theory is that they have the whole game up their sleeve.
