On a More Serious Note...

Day 673, 19:24 Published in USA USA by Minh Bruno

Good afternoon fellow eCitizens of Massachusetts and beyond!

I have had a lot of fun in the last few days writing articles of a semi-satirical nature while still attempting to bring you my real ideas on politics in the eUSA and my goals as for running for Congress. Afterall, the idea here is to have fun; yet, there is no way to deny the great amount of real life time, money and effort that many of you have spent to advance our cause. Thank all of you.

I'd like to talk with you on a more serious note. Let's talk about my background a bit.

I am no multiple term senator. I am no presidential cabinet member. I am, however, a passionate young citizen who understands that we need to use sound game mechanics to ultimately win; although, I will still argue that there is always a place for heart-firing speeches and hopeful ferver. I think it is more important than ever to get newer players, who are willing to learn and willing to teach into the political system. I have said before and will continue to say. It us them, it is us who hold the future of our great country.

As a congressmen I will serve my self entirely to the senate as a whole. The best we can do is work together to accomplish our goals, through unity is unlimited strength. There will never be a time that I will shy away from political disagreement or alterior trains of though; however, there is no room in congress for political grand-standing, selfishness or slander.

I encourage all citizens, after the election, to relocate to Florida.

I will fight for a new Q5 defense system and hospital for the eUSA. The exact location can be determined by careful strategic study.

I believe in creating and following a solid post-war gameplan, including maintaining a war-time economy and taking advantage of wargames.

I believe in strong funding for social programs, such as Meals on Wheels and Flying Unicorn.

I applaud the America's Advancement Party proactive outreach towards younger players. I have said it before, we are much stronger for it. The last congressional term was filled with numerous young AAP senators who have served with unquestioned distinction. Let's recognize their efforts and put more of these men and women into office.

I believe after our war with PEACE it is beyond our duty to assist our allies across the world in defending their territory. I do not believe in an imperialistic agenda.

I believe in all of you.

In leaving, I would like to insert a clip from an early Memento Spes article I wrote when days were darker in the eUSA.

"It may go unsaid that now more than ever is a pivotal time in our history. Our decisions and actions now alone carry grave consequence for the future. Yet there stands forever in our unity hope. It glimmers softly yet eternally persistent, unwilling to fade completely from our hearts. Do not forget hope...

...Here is my hope: Never shall we fear defeat; in doing so we ultimately will defeat ourselves. If we remember our unity and the love of our country we shall remain whole, even if our lands fall to shadow. Never shall we fear our differences, Never shall we persecute another for their beliefs, so long that we are together. Open debate and opinion are cornerstones of freedom. Never shall we strike against each other. Never shall we leave a true friend to stand alone."

Look at how far we have come, and how much we are accomplished. Remember this my friends, for it will be my code.

Remember to vote this weekend.
