Oh The Hypocrisy

“The PEACE Global Community shall be established as a defensive alliance that will pursue peace in good faith.”
That quote above is taken from clause 1.3 of PEACE GC's charter. It says that the alliance will aim to promote peace and act as a defensive alliance.
For this article, I'll take a PEACE side view of this months long global conflict. The complete invasion of North America and Spain is justifiable by the past actions of ATLANTIS due to the Portugal Wars, French Toast, FER, etc. PEACE is bringing peace to the world by crippling said countries. The complete annihilation of South Africa and North Korea is oh-so loosely justified because they attacked a member of PEACE GC, and the occupations were for the security of members of PEACE.
Even though the current and past invasions of PEACE can be arguably justified, the question can now be legitimately raised in the current Turkey/Greece conflict. Turkey is currently not a member of PEACE. Turkey had invaded Israel and Greece in the past in an imperialistic war that resulted in a complete occupation of both countries. Over the past few months, freedom fighters have been able to liberate all of Israel and parts of Greece from Turkey, most notably the region of Central Greece, a high iron region. Turkey has taken up their imperialistic ways once again, attacking Macedonia and Central Greece, against Greece and her allies.
Taking a look at that battle hero of the Central Greece Battle on the attackers side, we see Euphonix, a notable PEACE tank and numerous members of PEACE fighting against Greece, a neutral country. What is PEACE doing by sending it's highest tanks in an imperialistic war against Greece? How is that being "defensive?" The Greeks have spent most of their time fighting for their freedom above all else. They long to see the day where every Greek province is Greek, not Turkish, and they can grow and prosper.
So PEACE, why the hypocrisy? How is tanking on the side of an imperialistic alliance with the sole intention of eradicating a neutral country which has done PEACE no harm justify an act of defense? Perhaps PEACE has strayed from its original intention and the goals set up by its charter.

As a one time eGreek, I can tell you that the eTurks hate the eGreeks.
I doubt this war is related to PEACE. they have many issues, and often bring RL into it.
I even heard that the first invasion was following an insult of Ataturk...
My point here is that PEACE, a defensive alliance, is assisting in an unjustified and imperialistic war.
According to the Wiki, Turkey is not even a member of PEACE...
While they are pro-PEACE, they are not officially PEACE

I think you raise some very good points in this article Woxan.
Because PEACE helps their allies. And greece/israel are American allies, don't give me any of your "NEUTRAL" crap.
This is why consolidated power is a very bad thing for those against the tide.
Turkish rankings show BattleGazi and poker as the top citizens of Turkey currently, and I'm sure tomorrow when it refreshes the Top 10 will be entirely comprised of PEACE citizens and not Turkish citizens.
This is a very poignant article and you ask a very good question. However, considering that Americans rarely (if ever) answer poignant questions directed at them—questions that call out their own hypocrisy and render any answer to be admittance of said hypocrisy—I don't see why PEACE should address yours.
With that said, if one whittles down all the hypocrisy on both sides to an incident zero, one must understand that PEACE itself is a direct reaction and direct effect of ATLANTIS. With that understanding, you must admit that this is ALL essentially the fault of the United States and its allies. And... that's without getting into all of the recent unjust and unprovoked ATLANTIS invasions of PEACE nations, coupled by the infinite chest-thumping, slandering, et cetera.

@heymans, they have an MPP with the eUS. However unlike the eUS and Canada they have never shown direct aggression against any PEACE nation. So why is your defensive alliance attacking a country that it is not officially at war with. Also we have a lot stronger allies who you could invade and punish.

Typical American way of diplomacy: deploy, distrupt, mess with everyone, leave quickly, and don't care about the consequences of your actions. I'm kinda sad about the Greeks, but America has just as much to do with it as Turkey. Well, as I recall, it cost you around 5-6k gold to get the Greeks attacked now. Nice move.

@von seelar😛 First off your comment makes no sense. We spent our gold to save Greece. We then signed an MPP with them, to protect them and have invested gold and sent workers there as well. Please dont mix up RL American diplomacy with eRep diplomacy. Unlike PEACE we still care about the small guys and dont trample over countries with resources we want. Kthanx...

I don't know how well USA is doing todays, but it seems you can't defend Greece. Which you would't even be needed to do, if you didn't go on that "Old World RW tour" a couple of weeks ago. I think now you also miss that cca 10k gold that you have burned then to mess around.

But you missed the main point. It's world war, with Turkey and Greece being in different teams. It is that surprising / outrageous that they got attacked?

This is very true. PEACE is no longer for peace. They have become drunk off power and seek nothing less than global domination, so it seems. Or rather, Hungary and Indonesia wish to conquer the world and they have been using others to till the ground and get it ready for invading. PEACE was born as a defense against ATLANTIS as they were becoming imperialistic, but now PEACE is no better than the monster they have sought to defeat. I wont' stop until this new imperialistic monster is wiped off the planet.

Now they have ordered all americans to fight only in central greece, even though they are being attacked.
And what has PEACE done? They waved bye bye to Italy who needed their help the same way they did to Greece.
I personally admire eHungary for how they have risen in this game and we also have close ties with Serbia and Russia in RL so some might say we are in the wrong alliance.
But the past few days, I don't think so any more. Turks Iranians and Indonesians are there to remind us constantly that PEACE is everything BUT a defensive alliance.

Blah blah. You've admitted that PEACE's already flimsy justification for this invasion is just that. I don't expect you to disengage from this satellite war, just stop preaching about how we 'deserve' what we're getting and admit that you're going to swallow up every country that isn't already a member of your alliance. All the 'neutral' nations and those close you keep under your thumb may want to take heed.
PEACE won't care about anything until the time comes when they have to answer for their actions.

I would think that everyone would understand by now that PEACE is no longer about peace. They look to conquer the world and win the game. Everything else said is diversion and subterfuge.

I know that many people eLatvia were quite apathetic about your request for help, but lot`s of people camed here and assited in this war to secure eGreece.

I was in the fight to liberate Greece, and I fight now to keep them safe. I'm just saying that while PEACE's actions are condemnable in this situation, this isn't the first country to be abused in such a way, nor will it be the last. The US and many other countries regularly field armies messing around in battles they have no business in.

PEACE does not support Turkey's invasion in Greece. Everyone is free to fight on their own. PEACE's focus is North America, Spain, and Switzerland at this time.

Yeah right what? If PEACE wanted to invade CG they'd simply say "We're invading CG." It's not in the interests of the alliance and it's detrimental for Turkey to open another front up and beg PEACE for help, which they did already but were officially rejected because they had some ludicrous demands.
@Ikarti I've heard that and I have no reasons not to believe it,we saw some PEACE tanks fighting for Turkey but I guess they were on their own.Turkey in contrary of almost all the eworld has opened a war that serves noone accept her imperial dreams and RL hate for Greece.I am grateful to our allies and to some other nations who stayed neutral(it's better that than helping an unjustified and imperialistic war).With no embargo Turkey could benefit as we excluded noone from the resources but didn't.It's time to stop behave like spoiled kids...
The hypocrisy runs deeper than you think. Greece was a founding member of PEACE, a thing also seen in that charter.

I hate to say it but Zoli already indirectly answered this question of why PEACE GC is getting involved. If you read his paper, he said that PEACE is going from Defensive to Imperalistic... which in itself violates their charter (but i doubt people will hold them to it).
I dislike Peace GC and EDEN/FORTIS. Both of them are bad for the world as they are both imperalistic orders, bent on global domination.
However in this case, Once PEACE GC Wins the eWorld the will find it a hollow victory. 1 of 3 things will happen.
1. The admins restart the game because they would lose revenue off quitting players sick of seeing inaction. (The Admins are not interested in losing revenue, If enough players quit and their revenue drops, They will take action)
2. PEACE GC will turn on itself. Indo Vs Hungary, Brazil vs Russia ect until in the panic and chaos, all occupied nations revolt at once.
3. PEACE GC runs out of money and collapses like it was going to before the war (It was crumbling, if not failing) and it falls apart leading to several smaller alliances.
