Day 1,233, 11:08 Published in Indonesia Indonesia by Martabak Ostin

One fine day , i happened to come across the Co-Owner of erepublik.

So i thought why not interview him to get more insights on the game.

Interview with George Lemnaru

1. When did you join eRepublik?
With my existing account on 23rd of November 2007.

2. Can you introduce yourself to the eworld since there are so many are new players in this game.
I’m 29 years old, living in Bucharest, Romania.

3. Who had the idea to create the game and how did the story of eRepublik begin?
In summer 2006 I had the idea and started to work on it but I realized soon that I will need a partner for eRepublik. I meet Alexis in autumn and he really liked the concept and after one year (in November 2007) we had live the first prototype (what we call now Beta).

4. what does a typical day at the office look like for you?
Morning stand-up meeting with the team, email communication, meetings, lunch, table football match, playing eRepublik, more emails, more meetings, gym, go home, dinner, more eRepublik, going to bed.

5. What differences do you find between eRepublik and other online games or social networks and what are,
First of all the concept is very community driven thus allowing a lot of emerging gameplay.

6. In your opinion,what are eRepublik’s advantages?
The most important thing is the community that is very attached to the the game. Also the concept is original and hard to replicate thus making eRepublik quite unique from certain points of view.

7. To what extent do you consider the importance of eRepublik in your life?
At this moment it is the most important thing in my life (besides my health). It’s the only reason why sometimes I don’t sleep at night.

8. What is your most memorable in-game experience/event and why?
A very interesting moment was in the first months of eRepublik when, by chance, I was very close to be elected the president of US. Luckily I stepped out and let much better politicians rule US. 🙂

9. What is the most memorable behind-the-scenes event/experience?
There are quite many. Working at eRepublik provides a lot of action. You’ll never get bored. 🙂

10. What are the bad experiences which you had in erep office?
Each new mega launch was a very difficult time (for us and the players too). That’s why lately, if we want to change something in the product we do it in little steps.

11. who are your good friends in erepublik office?
The team is quite fun and I personally consider them my friends.

12. Is erep looking for additional sources of revenue like tieups etc?
No Comments recieved

13. Could you list some positive and some negative things from the experience with your players?
The players are not giving me a positive or negative experience, they provide feedback (sometimes easier to understand, sometimes harder) and our role so to get that feedback and improve their experience in eRepublik.

14. There has been lot of changes in the game , every few days, what is the reason for so sudden changes.
We still have an incomplete user experience from our point of view so eRepublik is a work in progress product. In the future we want to improve it constantly but there will be also times when the rate of change in eRepublik will be lower to what happens now.

15. What future changes can we expect from erep?
Right now our main focus is on economy and communication tools (pm’s, Army Units, Shouts).

16. Will other new countries be there?
Absolutely, depends on their traffic.

17. where do u see erep in 2012?
I have no idea, we’re trying to get eRepublik better and better each week.

18. Would you like to add anything else?
Thank you for your invitation in Indonesia. I will move to Indonesia but before that I want to acquire an Indonesian market license so that I can sell my weapons and buy food for IEP. 🙂
