MoFa News

Preamble...*Sniffs about*... this room looks familiar, smells of my perfume... omg its the MoFa Office! My Staff are honourably taking down the Derek Harland portrait and replacing it with Frams, aka nea milosu. Anthems play and we all salute as the Maple flag is raised over the the Ministry once again. M.H. Aurelius kicks me to a pile of a files... I start reading and can't be bothere
😛"Call them all in, we must all decide this". The Staff assemble, good plonk was ordered and here is what we decide
😛
1. Personnel: Jelly4573 has moved on to become a Presidential Adviser. As such he will retain MoFa access and remain part of the Council of Foreign Relations. However he is no longer classed as an MoFa Minister and joins jfstpierre and others as senior advisors who we can call on for tactful talks when needed. These people are always useful and have been used many times in the past to make negotiations work. I have no doubt we shall be calling on his services soon.
Meanwhile a previous Secretary of State for the Ambassador Corps (SoSAC) and last months Assistant MoFa M.H. Aurelius will continue in his role. This guy has serious strategic insight and gets straight to the point. He needs only to meet more people and form 'relationships of trust' with them. He will be my personal 'aide de camp' so that I can give introductions etc...
Also last month we were happy to welcome a new SoSAC in KyleDr. I have to tell you that this guys work is phenominal! There is no doubt he will go far and both Fram and I agree he is ready for Deputy MoFa now. As such he will have independant tasks from myself and will be fully empowered to manage his own talks when sent on a mission. He will also continue to act as SoSAC until another Ambassador can be trained.
All the Staff are promoted from within the Department! This the Department considers a virtue. When you start as an Ambassador you get to know people abroad, when you move up to SoSAC you get to learn what others are upto and a bit of how the Government runs, when you you become and Assistant or a Deputy to go deal with them and next step is my desk... Many Presidents start as Ambassadors for the simple reason that knowing allies and others abroad is an advantage. MHA and Kyle know the Department well, this month they will both help in talks and make realtionships for themselves.
2. Ambassador Education and Retention. We have noticed over time that alot of Ambassadors come and go. We would like to help eCanada retain their vital services. We shall therefore:
a. Provide all new Ambassadors (where needed) with a background history of the country they are appointed to. This info will be stored in the forum of the country they go to.
b. Provide a format for reports and a timeline for them to get reports in - once a week will be REQUIRED.
c. Educate them in eDiplomacy. Sure this is hard but such things as IRC etc and negotiation style can be taught. We want to make our Ambassaors the very top.
d.We shall request Congress to vote a prize of 'Best report of the Month' from all Ambassadors with a prize of Congress choice. The MoFa will supply best reports every week to Congress on a Sunday.
B. The Priorities.
1. The War with eFrance and eUK: This is a dangerous and silly war in my opinion as my last article explains.eFrance is NOT our enemy. They are not even in Phoenix; just forced to rely on them. Our new President himself is handling this and we expect to have talks with eFrance soon. Do we really want to be wiped off the map again? Not I. It is the duty of any Government to keep the nation safe and intact and it is my belief we can do so.
2. South American Conference: Well over the last 2 months we have been making friends there! Strange huh? No... come V2 we alot to gain ecomicaly there from non Phoenix nations. We have offers for exporting there where they pay the export liscence fee already! This can only boost our economy and bring others here to work. I shall not go into deeper thinking here... work it out!
3. Brolliance: Eden is our primary alliance. Our Croat and Polish, Romanian, Aussie, Greeks and great Viking type friends have NEVER let us down and we shall never fail them. However, some countries, eSouth Africa, eChina and eIndia remain outside our immeadiate fold. We shall push for them to included in Brolliance and for a formal Brolliance IRC for Cabinet Ministers.
C. The War or "Pow! Right on the kissa"

Did we lose eHungary? Where did Heliongjiang go? Did we hell! There is far to go still and this is not yet a death blow to Phoenix by any means. It has simply cost the Huns alot of money to relocate their comapnies to other high iron regions. It is likely that the wars will continue in Europe until we gain an advantage or, more likely, a stalemate. I note with pleasure that both eBosnia and Herzogovenia and eSwitzerland both returned Eden Presidents and send them my gratz on their liberation. So far since the North American invasion was fought off we have taken Karnataka, Liaoning (though we lost it again) and Heliongjiang, we have retaken 90% of eSouth Africa and kicked eIndos from eAustralia again... we have 80% of the worlds titanium resources come V2! We have saved alot of countries in Asia and made friends there. The European plan failed, fair do's but I think we have a net gain! And avec says this is only Phase 1!
Summary: Honour.
eCanada has one of, if not THE best reputation in the New World. We honour all our allies, don't cheat and help freindly 'non allies' whenever possible. Why? Well not cheating is simple but the other bits take time. We MUST help our allies because depend on each other. If eCroatia is lost we shall fight for them as they did for us - we depend on them as they depend on us: We are "Brothers in Arms" with all our allies. This is an honourable system or I would not serve. As we have just come through the dirtiest election I have seen (be ashamed whoever you are!) I ask ALL to remember our status within the game. We act with honour abroad when we help our allies and others who are oppressed. We act with honour at home when help eCanada! Indeed it is long held theory of mine that without honour there is no true power. How can your ally trust you?
We have a relatively new MoFa team but this is good and I have 110% confidence in them. They will do eCanada proud and it is important to bring new people on. We have clear objectives; the eFrance war, South America and Ambassador training. I shall seperatly be running a 'Staff College' course in the University and plans for this are being made. We have "SHRINGED" two of the major Phoenix sources of strength: Karntaka and Heliongjiag. Sure there are more to go but tell me we are not winning and I'd beg to differ... More importantly we have done it with honour! We's winning guys and Ladies so stick together for the win!
Apresamble... MHA, Kyle and myself burned the files one by one in the bin as we continued chatting... imagine our surpirise when we discovered most were useless! We promptly threw in the rest into the fire and called the Fire Birgade while running to a 5 Star Restaurant for more Champers and caviar, for such is the life at the MoFa *sigh*
Je m'excuse aux Francophones mais pesonne veux trauire...

WOW you guys really have to work on turning a phrase:
1) Its the Council ON Foreign Relations; Council IN Foreign Relations does not make sense.
2) Its POW! Right IN the kisser; right ON the kissa does not make sense. You don't get punched ON the face, you get punched IN the face.
3) "SHRINGED"? This is not a word, explain to me what this means.
Your grammar also upsets me.
Fix all of these things I have pointed out.
Also, this is not "The Hills" or "The City", you may not use the word "champers".
a) Appreciate that she is NOT a native English speaker
b) realize that it takes a good number of hours to collect this information and then turn it into an article
c) Notice that she wrote this only because she feels it is her duty to educate the public on what Foreign Affairs is up to. In simpler terms- she's done it for you (us).
d) On a side note, she borrowed the term "shringed" (shring) from me, as I used it in one of our conversations.
It's not a word- it's an onomatopoeia. Specifically, the sound of a knife as it cuts things.
Sry wrong. I just did.
The brolliance is not so much the brolliance anymore eh
Ohhh Canadaaaaaa!!! 😃
~hySHRINGEDuu~
@whatadoozie: As per a, b, and c, whats your point? Are you saying we should expect less from her because she is ESL? I would strongly disagree with that argument, if that is indeed what your saying. We have many non-English speakers who are as capable, or more so, than native English speakers.
As per d, I understand the explanation, but I question whether "shring" is the noise that a knife makes when it cuts things; its more tearing and less metal on metal...
I'm just saying that it's probably a tad easier for those of us who were born into English speaking communities to write and speak English. Thus, criticizing the English abilities of someone who grew up elsewhere is sort of hypocritical. Certainly we may be capable of writing superb English articles, but would the quality of our French or Polish be of the same standard? I think not.
**and on the shring thing... if you watch action movies, when they bring out their knives or swords or whatevers, there's always that distinctive "shring" noise. And when peeps fight, there's a bit of a "shring" "tingaling"ee thing. So maybe I explained "shring" incorrectly. It's not the cutting- it's the sound used for a person with a blade committing violent acts 😛
meh, opinions vary.
you are right. eCanada is one of the cleanest guy in the block! eMalaysia luv eCanada. 😃
🙂
eCanada did have a great reputation, right up to the moment we invaded France. Have fun fixing that one.
eCanada is full of derp
Moi, francophone, je vote cet article!
Good job SaraDroz! 😉
Very informative article, Sara.
Augustus, your point would be easier to defend if your second language was better than Sara’s, but even if that were the case, I would still strongly disagree with you. I would also disagree with the idea that non-English speakers who speak better than native English speakers are common, “if that is indeed what your saying.” Perfect bilingualism is very rare, and I don’t think I could ever attain it even if I really wanted to.
Congratz to all my colleagues in the FA Team and to Sara for her well deserved promotion! (She's now VP)
Thanks for all the work you do, Sara. 🙂
