Mark Morcom for IA Party President

What does the Independent Alternative need that will revitalise its members. I have been thinking about this a lot. One thing that has both disgusted me, and at the same time impressed me, it the articles coming from Belea. The articles are written in the wrong spirit, they are written to make you slip up, make you look like a fool, and give him some upper hand in a political power struggle going on in his head. That disgusts me. But what has impressed me is this:

1- The articles have got people on their toes. People are thinking carefully before they answer because lets face it, if you make a mistake, Belea will be there with a rope, ready to correct you.

2- It highlights the importance of political debate. I think political debate is the life-blood of any thinking government.

I have not been so happy with the IA as of late. I have a feeling that we are all just going through the motions. Someone proposes a CP, and we all jump and accept, without asking too may questions.

Well, I believe the IA is greater than that. As the party at the forefront of political power in the nation, lets stop ourselves from becoming complacent. Lets use this great tool that we are blessed with (The largest party) as a force to change. Lets not argue between parties, but lets discuss and argue amonst ourselves. Let us as a party be clear about where we are going, but not complacent. A party that has heated debates truly is a party that is worthy of the power.

I want to be there and encourage a reformation of this party, and take it off the tract to obscurity.

Vote for me come elections, and I will do what I can to help this along.
