The weekly Congressional Report returns. Unfortunately, I must admit that it is a few days late due to Erepublik playing up. Luckily, it has coincided with the current Congress ending its legislature. Remember that these congressmen vote on issues that will directly affect you, the citizen, whether these are taxes, government schemes or peace treaties.

Ministerial Positions
Proposed by Tommy Tomassino (Public) and Rayf Drayson (HoC)

This bill was proposed to allow the appointment of those who are not members of the House of Commons or House of Lords to ministerial positions (excluding MoFA, MoD, and MoF) that do not require HoC or HoL access. Those from outside HoL or HoC who take on these roles would also be granted access to the Cabinet. This was blocked by HoL and returned to HoL to be amended.

Raleigh Treaty
Proposed by intrepid132

This treaty was a joint proposal between the eUK MoFA and the Irish MoFA to update and replace the previous Blind Old Noun Accords which confirms the pact of friendship with our Irish neighbours. This was voted on twice from HoC before it was finally accepted by HoL.
