French Failure and Latvian Loss

Earlier today, the Loire Valley, France, was captured by the Spanish Army. This is the fourth region of France that Spain have captured recently, bringing them more and more inland. The other three regions taken are Poitou Charentes, Aquitaine and the Midi-Pyrenees. In the battles for the Midi-Pyrenees and Aquitaine, the French won no battles, hinting at a lull in their defences. The battle for Poitou Charentes, however, was contested, but only five battles being won by French forces. The battle for the Loire Valley, however, was even more contested, with France winning six battles.

In other news, Latvia have attacked the Samogitia region of Lithuania, but are being beaten, losing two of two battles. This is the most recent battle between the two countries, the previous being Latvia’s Latgate Region under attack from Lithuania, and Latvia attacking the Lithuanian Highland. One things for sure, this war will wage for a while yet.
