France, Germany Rebel; Myles for Maryland

Day 824, 14:29 Published in USA USA by Myles Robinson

Resistance Wars Throughout France, Germany
Today, thirteen different resistance wars simultaneously broke out in Polish-occupied territories throughout what used to be France and Germany, each started by Phoenix troops. All are failing so far, but with hours left, Phoenix may push to be victorious in a few of them. Following the Spanish-led invasion, the nation of France ceased to exist almost two weeks ago, occupied in totality by the forces of EDEN. The reasoning for the invasion was retribution for France's attempts to wipe out the nation of Spain and assistance in the destruction of the United States back during the PEACE invasion of North America. While France is wiped out, Germany has Bavaria and Saarland still under its control, MPPed with Hungary, Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, and Serbia.

France, formerly of PEACE GC, is a founding member of the Entente alliance, drawing in the forces of that alliance to work in conjunction with Phoenix towards the liberation of France and Germany. The goal of Phoenix's actions today is apparently to try get France back on the map, but Poland seems adamant in making sure that does not happen and trying to maintain a hold of that nation.

Meanwhile, in Britain, political tensions over the ceasefire called in the Invasion of the United Kingdom are starting to ease after former prime minister Mr Woldy released an article explaining in detail the reasoning that UK and Phoenix leadership used in seeking out the peace treaty with the invading forces. With Phoenix no longer distracted in the United Kingdom and the United States and others withdrawing from the island, their militaries can now focus on the aforementioned liberations of France and Germany. While EDEN forces have withdrawn from the battle against the United Kingdom, Ireland remains committed towards maintaining hold of Northern Ireland and keeping their island unified. The British government has yet to launch an attack on Northern Ireland or make any statements about that issue yet.

For more repercussions of the invasion of the United Kingdom, EDEN is under new leadership, with avec of Finland replacing shoot as Supreme Commander of the alliance. The leadership of EDEN is tasked with coordinating the alliance's member-states and military, and setting and pursuing the goals of the allied forces.

In China, the nation awaits what seems to be the eventual return of support from allies in EDEN and the United States in liberating the regions that are held by hostile Phoenix powers. The Chinese have officially declared war on Serbia for their occupation of Liaoning, and are currently involved militarily in what is merely a training war with Sol and the Philippines. Greece, meanwhile, has continued its push into Turkey, occupying several valuable regions as EDEN forces, no longer distracted in the United Kingdom, pour in to assist in attacking the hostile Phoenix power that has been a pain to Greece and Israel for a long time now.

As the people of the United States await the next foreign policy initiative by the government, its public discourse has turned to the upcoming congressional elections and new economic woes facing the nation. Basically, the economy sucks. Woxan blames Lana, and I do too. She's stealing all our money. On that note, Woxan has resigned as Secretary of State (MoFA) and my new boss is Devoid. SEES has declared war on Congress. Also, Harlot can into Congress. Speaking of which.....

End News Portion, Begin Political Portion

Myles for Marlyand-- Again!

I am running for reelection in the state of Maryland, which I have represented since it was liberated from the forces of PEACE (France, specifically, if my memory serves me correctly). On the Libertarian ticket once more, I have been endorsed by a variety of parties and committees over the past few election cycles and am proud to have served in Congress.

Experience:
-Undersecretary of State for Asia and Oceania
-Four previous terms on Congress, all as a member of the Foreign Relations Advisory Committee.
-Founding and Current member of the Libertarian Party Steering Committee
-Former Ambassador to China
-Former Regional Boss of Asia
-Former Deputy Director of Ambassadorial Affairs for Americas, Asia, and Oceania

My interest, as those who know me, is of course in foreign affairs. Domestic affairs, which mostly have to do with economics, are not my specialty and I usually defer to the judgment of others and the merits of the arguments made in congressional debate when it comes to domestic policy. With the announcements from the admins about some of the new things coming with V2, though, this will probably be changing. I promise to work with Congress to figure out how to adapt our country to the new way of life V2 presents.

In foreign affairs, I have always and will always remain committed to the end of the Hungarian Empire. What that end is? Liberating Heilongjiang and, now, Liaoning from the hostile forces of Phoenix. The liberation of China is key to ending this organization of aggressive states known now as Phoenix and previously as PEACE or HIRIS. If we can free "Hello Kitty" and "Lion King" from their hold, we win. As I have said before, the Phoenix alliance is an alliance of hypocrisy and treachery, preferring to beat up on and push around the little guy rather than allow them a chance to grow a bit so that can get into the game. They speak of being liberators and such in regards to France and Germany while simultaneously holding down the nations of Asia. Also, for the record, I do not agree with the continued occupation of France and Germany-- the lesson was had and damage dealt, let's move on so we don't become distracted in resistance wars. Imperialism is a detractor. I also do support continued warfare in foreign affairs-- wars are how we stay healthy and active, and help out the economy a bit, and I'm at least glad we do have so many enemies to fight.
