Day 85: American President Hacked?

Day 685, 18:59 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

A great deal of confusion surfaced earlier today when the U.S. suddenly started attacking almost every region they could. The attacks were later nullified by the admins and Gaius's account was temporarily suspended leading many to believe that the account was hacked and that the admins are now investigating. This isn't the first time that something like this has happened. Awhile ago the same thing happened in Romania on the presidential election day where Romania just all of a sudden started attacking everything. This also brings up the possibility that there could be a bug with the presidential elections so the admins will likely take a look at that as well.

In Greece the Turks have once again by turned back in the Aegean island by a massive Greek wall. Halfway through the battle the wall was well over 1.5 million points and with no MPPs to back up Turkey they never stood much of a chance. The other key battle which was launched by Canada into the Hungarian held region of Saskatchewan also ended in disappointment for the attacker. Canada put up a good fight for a nation their size but in the end Hungary's sheer numbers were too much for them to overcome and they ended up losing by a considerable amount. Hungary hasn't appeared to be aggressive the past few weeks as we have yet to see them launch any new attacks against either the U.S. or Canada, so the likelihood of them counterattacking Canada and activating those MPPs is very slim.

Things in Scandinavia continue to be the same old song and dance with the constant land swapping between Scandinavian nations making for a very confusing stalemate. As of right now Sweden has the offensive against Russia and has attacked the original Norwegian region of Svalbard which has constantly gone back and forth between countries. Right now the battle is very close with Sweden having the wall 20K into the underground with five hours left, this will be one to watch as it could push Russia out of Scandinavia and give those nations time to take back all their original regions and sign MPPs with other nations to hold off Russia.

As much as I would like to include a paragraph about the U.S. and the North American front I can't due to the lack of battles. Instead I will just use this article to inform you that Gaius will win this election by a considerable margin seeing as he has more then twice as many votes as his main challenger Woxan. In the U.K. PEACE hardliner Glados is likely to be voted out of office as Mr. Woldy, who is also pro PEACE, is on the verge of clinching the election. Glados managed to win the elections last year thanks in part to the endorsement of the unity party. Things were different this time around though as Mr. Woldy received the unity party nomination despite almost every other party nominating Glados. I know a lot of you really don't care about this paragraph but its just here to silence those who complain about wanting me to write more about stuff that really doesn't matter.
