Day 54: America Attacks California

Day 654, 20:54 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

Five days after the first attempt to retake California a second attack has been launched. The difference this time appears to be that the U.S. will win with the wall over 400K into the underground and 800k under the secure line. While there is still ample time for PEACE to tank the wall back up it would cost a substantial amount of gold and the U.S. has a very large cushion to work with. The liberation of California would greatly help out the U.S. economy as it has high productivity for two resources and is home to many companies and citizens. It also benefits us from a geographical stand point as it will reduce Indonesia's claims in North America to just Hawaii and will force them to fork over the gold to attack California if they ever want to block us. If California were to fall it would also destroy the Q5 hospital they built there.

With Indonesia almost out of the picture it sets us up for a re escalation of the war with Russia. Currently Russia has control of the northern half of the country while the U.S. holds many of the southern regions. This front hasn't seen much action in recent days due to both the U.S. and Russia being blocked however that could change if Indonesia is not able to stay around to block the U.S.. Russia is in the process of trying to get themselves unblocked by creating a buffer between them and Canada however they still hold three regions that border Canada.

Spain has recently liberated the region of Galicia in another resistance war but they haven't started another one today. This is most likely so they can help out America in the battle in California. So far Spain and Canada have both been successful in retaking most of their regions from PEACE control and if the U.S. is able to attack Russia soon then we will be in a very good position to take back the rest of the country. Canada continues to block Russia and Hungary and has launched attacks into both Maine and Saskatchewan however neither is expected to pass.
