In response to timothy, I agree with you, but this should be done by the SoH (No offense, CnB, even though you are the Director of the Federalist Political Office, the most powerful congressional person should conduct this).

The only thing I would suggest is an increase in sample size of those surveyed, only to improve the accuracy of the data. Anyone who wants to can conduct this survey, and that's one of the strongest aspects of it!

-3 it would seem I have some work to do. I have spent my first term in congress keeping quiet, but reading the various threads and debates in order to cast my vote in an informed manner. I took the stance of letting the more experienced congress members speak. I guess I need to speak up a bit more. thanks for the heads up!

I obviously need to work on my communications skills, and I have been less active due to real relative being sick. I intend to correct that next term, among other things.

I absolutely completely agree with the ones who were 10+ rated. We really have an all star Congress this term and I couldn't be more proud of those people.

This is a really great idea, and, if continued, could allow people to see how Congressmen change and improve (or get worse) from term to term.

I know the sample size was small. I would love to do this again next month or even closer to the end of this term and get responses from all Congressmen.

If the SoH chooses to continue doing this great or another group idk. But its something that I think should be done. My goal is to eventually have a congress of people +10 and up (why only +10 cause you can't please everyone).

As for those that are new like Tyler, this survey may be somewhat bias by the small sample I took. I apologize for that but I hope you guys do speak more and let us know your opinions and such. Even if its just posting I agree, it lets me know that you are reading posts and educating yourselves.

A little hard to discern to what degree it's a popularity contest vs. a measure of contribution.

Larger sample size would be good.

And perhaps addition to the high-level yes / no / don't know scoring, some kinda scorecard for various categories might be instructive. In other words, what kinds of things does "contribution" mean?

As with many polls, it's not easy to get a qualitative read from this one. For example, did somebody who posted 30 content-less comments to a forum contribute more than somebody who quietly listened and learned and posted one thoughtful comment? Just sayin'.

I'd say this should be done every term either before or after the PP elections - as a "so far: how are they doing"
