Coffee with the President (1757)

Dear friends,
I’m happy you joined me in my lounge and took the time to share a cup of coffee with me. For those who don’t drink coffee, my staff also prepared some delicious green tea, to keep us all focused.
As you all know, there was a CoT alliance meeting scheduled for yesterday, where this months SCs (Supreme Commanders), MC (Military Commander) and GoB (Governor of Bank) would be elected. Unfortunately because of an organisational mishap, the meeting has been rescheduled for day 1758. Until then I am still the active MC and Patar333 is still the GoB.
Diplomatic talks between Switzerland and Macedonia (MKD) have been initiated. MKD proposed to extend the deal made in the previous mandate. MKD denied our request to set a rent for the region and offered MKD CSs for swiss citizens with factories who would like to enjoy the higher bonuses MKD has to offer. This has not yet been agreed to and the Cabinet is residing to determine the quality and appropriateness of the deal. CoT offered support in this matter, which we will still decide if its really needed. The diplomatic talks have been suspended for the time being, but I still have hope MKD would reconsider the rent offer.
As you may have noticed Slovenia proposed Switzerland as NE. I have been assured by their CP that this was an act of a rogue congressman and that Slovenia has no intention of attacking us, just like in our case. On that note, Musa der Krieger is considered Enemy of the State and will be dealt with accordingly.
FranckP97 resigned as the DoE, therefore I have decided to make open applications for the position of the DoE (Director of Embassies).
You can apply at this form. Only requirements are having swiss CS and not being red flagged by the government. You can apply until the end of day 1760, after that I will personally check all the applications and decide on the proper candidate.
DoE must be an active person, good at diplomacy and considered a good, respected and respectful citizen of Switzerland.
Also there has been some accusations between cooldude97 and Astorwald. They have been sanctioned. Due to the ruling Cooldude97 has fulfilled his duties and has been granted a Presidential pardon, starting on day 1758.

Just saying: CoT's new mission should be a military campaign against FYROM . A more offensive and strong position should have been took when negotiating for taking back our region . They can have 5 RWs and they already have NE on France.

Furthermore, our friend and ally, Macedonia would prefer if the term FYROM is not used. They prefer Macedonia, and for the purpose of this game, the Swiss government would like all citizens to comply with this request.

MadelineJoshua, you should try to look for the Macedonian's point of view besides your's. This will get you far in public relations which allows you to run for government positions. About the RWs, Macedonia will thrash us at where we are right now compared to them. Also, please call them by how they want to be, MACEDONIA. Last of all, someone with good public relations please APPLY for DoE, I wish whoever applies the best of luck 🙂!
@MadelineJoshua: MKD has made no threats in attacking us if we decline the deal. That is why I don't think CoTs help will be needed at this point. The question here is if we can afford not to have their protection against other bigger countries. If the case was different and we would have to protect ourselves against them, we would go in full force ofc.
Concerning Slo.: They are just like any other country - blood thirsty for a war. We should feel great that our congress is smart ; )
@all: Please keep in mind that MKD is still considered as an ally and not an enemy. If they were willing to pay rent we would be making a business transaction that would benefit us greatly.
And yes, the government asks all of you to use Macedonia and MKD when refering to them, as they take the other abbreviation as a great insult.

Both FYROM and Republic Of Macedonia are used in international relationships . No one must be offended. I only use sometimes FYROM because it's shorter . ^ _ ^
Quite reasonable of you, but sadly our Macedonian friends don't see it quite so simply. 😉
