19 October, Day 699 of the New World. The Cactus Caucus was founded during the term of the 22nd Congress of the United States to address the “unique challenges facing first-term Congressmen from the American southwest.” As the caucus cuts across party lines, it is also able to act for multi-partisan communication and cooperation.

Today the two voting members of the Cactus Caucus, Arizona and New Mexico, extended an invitation to Utah. This expansion brings another political party into the unaligned caucus.

The current membership roster is:

Utah – AWebb85, Libertarian Party
New Mexico – Jude Connors, Socialist Freedom Party
Arizona – Rheinlander von Phalz, America’s Advancement Party

All three members are also candidates for the 23rd Congress of the United States.
