Why we did attack Hungary? Good question!
Because a lot of people here just love fighting them. That's the spirit and you cannot go over it. Maybe there is so much love fighting together than we should try fighting on the same side🙂

On the other hand, so many times we heard from them: "it's your turn", "we are BIG, but it's your turn".
Like we didn't conquered Budapest before. All what they said was "it's your turn"
Like nobody knows Hungary has much more damage than Romania. Like nobody knows Hungary didn't accept an war 1 vs 1 with us. Still the BIG guy didn't stop saying "it's your turn". Attack our MPPs!
OK.
So we did! We attacked Hungary, opening a lot of MPPs. Finally the BIG guy seems to be happy. He has all the MPPs over us. So he can start being courageous.
Good for him.
Good for us as well. Because we wanted this war. Our citizens asked for it and it was delivered to us.
Now, in order to have all the fun, we just have to keep the offensive over Hungary and its allies. That's the way the war goes.
We had to attack Bulgaria just after their Peace proposal to keep the border safe for 24h. And so we did.
We had 4 battles over Hungary. Two of them were won, one for Croatia, one for us. We could do more, much more, but some of the friends were afraid, some had something else to do. This is the situation and we have to deal with that.
What to do next? Just keep going. Isn't any way back. Once we stop, Hungary's MPPs are getting back to us anyways.
So we attacked Hungary again. This time making safe all the borders and keeping the offensive.
This sounds crazy. Attacking everyone? Yup. As long as we keep attacking nobody can hurt us. That's the game. Doesn't matter how powerful is the enemy. Just keep attacking. Have a small country, even better🙂
What could go wrong? Losing the offensive of course. What we will lose? The pixels that Norway, Finland, US, Canada, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary and A LOT of other countries have lost and came back.
So be it.

PS: I suppose that all the guys cheering for this battle obviously (like in RL) will start screaming. That's the way some politics work.

By the way, just for the record, our leaders have a better approval rating in the eUS than eRomania has. If you didn't plan to attack us, why ask for a region swap from France? Maybe because you knew we would find out about it? Yet one more threat.
