Richardson Inherits Decent Numbers
President Harrison Richardson, elected on July 5, has inherited fairly good approval ratings from predecessor Scrabman. Both USWP Presidents were elected by moderate margins over RightCon endorsed candidates in the June and July elections respectively. Both Presidents recieve(d) relatively high disapproval ratings whilst retaining a majority/near majority of American approval.
This is APS's first poll on President Richardson. Unlike other presidents we have tracked in the past (Dover, Justinious, Scrabman), Richardson has had to deal with an almost immediate attack on the homeland. This occurance may have bolstered his approval - APS examines this later in the article.
Here are President Richardson's first approval ratings:
Approve: 47%
Disapprove: 23%
Unsure: 30%

However when respondents were narrowed down to only right-wing CVP and Libertarian parties, the difference was noticeable. Amongst CVP & Libertarians only, Richardson's approval rating fell nine points, and disapproval rose eight points.
As expected, his ratings were much higher among only AAP and USWP respondents. Approval increased 17 points, and disapproval dropped nine points.

Relatively Good Marks On Military For Richardson
President Richardson may not have asked for his foreign policy credentials to be tested so soon, but that is the hand he was dealt. Americans believe by a decent margin that the President is handling military/foreign affairs well. Only 12% see him as "Failing" on foreign affairs, while 21% say he is doing a "Remarkable" job. Overall, 49% of Americans feel that President Richardson is doing better than "Satisfactory" (23
😵, and 28% believe he is doing worse than Satisfactory.
