Alliances Updates: What has gone on!?

Day 1,167, 20:23 Published in United Kingdom France by Hell The Great

Its been a while since I did an article with bold text worth reading, so for your pleasure, I will again delve into the word of the alliance, and present to you what I think, know, expect and hope for. Please note that as per my previous articles, none of this should be taken as "fact" or "certain" - although I'd be willing to go as far as saying the majority of it is more than likely to happen.

First, lets recap. In the two weeks since I last explored alliances, a few key points have changed, however the majority of my predictions have come to fruition, and I will do my utmost to cite these with some lovely public declarations by those involved.

First, lets begin with the progress made by the vehicle that america hopes to use to its advantage, or as many like to refer to it, PANAM. In the past two weeks, PANAM has been doing its utmost to protect its borders. The makeup of NWO has put the two major hitters here in grave danger, and as such, the organisation has been on quite a large diplomatic mission to try and minimise the proverbial storm of faeces that they find themselves in.

The first part was relatively simple, accepting that Poland and Spain have little interest in being part of an alliance which openly criticised them, their war efforts, and their administrations. As well as this, with Brazil Re opening a war they accrimoniously closed a few weeks ago. As someone privy to these talks, and involved within the heirarchy of Phoenix, I can say that the Brazillian negotiations with Spain at this time came at quite a surprise to us. There had been relative acceptance that France-Spain and Brazil-Spain was not working as well as we had hoped, and both sides felt aggrieved that whilst EDEN could back Spain over both time zones thanks to some nice drain wars, and a relatively robust tanking defence, Phoenix was not able to offer the same. Thus, negotiations with the now ex-Spanish CP were opened, in the hope of closing off both wars; and allowing both France and Brazil to regroup, and France to focus on a looming (and increasing) Polish threat. Suffice to say, Brazils decision to sign peace unilaterally with Spain indicated that they were planning something else. However, the past is the past. Anywho, since that day, we have seen a huge reversal in the role of defending Spanish Venezuela, with the rampaging serbs and huns instead fighting for the defence, whilst PANAM divisions, and an impressive display by the Argentinian EMO unit fought for venezuelan resistance. This signalled the decision of the USA, and of course, PANAM: Spain out, Brazil in.

Whilst this was occuring, As I reported here, PANAM began their diplomatic discussions with the UK and France. Unbeknown to me at the time, they were also discussing with Turkey. This lead to cordial meetings between French, British and PANAM leaders, although I understand that no specifics where discussed in these meetings. What I can, however, say, is that PANAM has a long way to go to allay the fears that were raised in that meeting before France or the UK can be considered anywhere near negotiations to enter PANAM.

Conversely, Turkey, a country I had pinned down as a dead cert for the balkan heaven of NWO, surprised the world By declaring that they would allow Greece to wipe them in protest, at what they declared "unjust administration" of eRepublik. Probably the best guarded secret so far in this alliance-centred twist, is that in fact, they had agreed to be used as a tool to swap the USA into Serbia, in exchange for PANAM support, and a future campaign against Greece, should PANAM and EDEN come to blows. Unfortunately for the USA, the plan was leaked, and the balkans exploded in diplomatic defences towards this quite cunning display of international relations. Again, unfortunately for the USA, they sealed their own fate, by assuming Bulgaria would become Turkish.

This brings me to the next part of PANAM: A gradual, but certain, move away from EDEN. With unnamed officials bemoaning the lack of EDEN support in RWs dominated by even more rampaging serbs, as well as the Bulgarian declaration of "no way", America now finds itself close to removal from the Asian peninsula completely. Oddly, however, this astounding defeat has lead to a significant change in policy, with America realising that without EDEN, they could well be set for quite a struggle in the future. Whilst this is quite a clever ploy, as they lose nothing (Spain/Poland MPPs will eventually be dropped when PANAM/NWO take form) by saying nothx.jpg to Spain, and continue to attempt to woo Cromania into a sympathetic stance. I have it on good authority, however, that a certain well connected Romanian, remains unamused by a perceived "objectisation" of the European EDEN powers, with America more than happy to leave and join EDEN at their own convenience, but come crawling back when "they need FAR".

To conclude, in the past two weeks, things in PANAM have taken a severe turn for the worse. Whilst they had hoped to use a campaign of war against Serbia to show themselves as a true power, they have managed to anger the beast. As well as that, their attempts to increase the membership of PANAM to include Indonesia, France, Germany, the UK, and seek more sympathetic relations with some EDEN countries have largely failed, with opinions of PANAM as a "genuine power", falling by the day. However, they have begun to win over some sceptics within Canada, before I had expected.

jws advice: Get some hospitals deployed onto Florida, and keep knocking at the door until Cromania answer.

Now then, lets look at New World Order, and see how the shift in PANAMs momentum has affected them. (If you are thinking this article is too long, the answer is "benefitted greatly")

Unfortunately for most, Turkey forgot how to region swap effectively. Had they declared they were fighting a Training war, then perhaps, their turn of favour would have pulled off, and we'd today be discussing how the joint EDEN-PANAM invasion of Serbia was going to end, if it all. However, instead of mimic'ing Scotland, they tried to play things both ways, with the country being seen as unfortunate, unlucky, and dignified one day, to becoming A tad controversial the next. This is quite a big loss for the Balkan-centric NWO, with Turkey being seen as a long-time ally of Russia, and a "bro" of Macedonia, it was greatly in NWOs favour that Turkey become a member; as it would strengthen their resolve with Macedonia, and at least allow them to delay Russia moving against them.

But what does Turkey really change? In truth, NWO are in a unique situation, in terms of alliances, as so far it is the only alliance which is made up entirely of people who want to be there. The loss of Turkey, is conceivably one which NWO can replace by simply putting up a vacancy sign.

So, what else has gone on in the NWO? In truth, the only thing which has happened is one which has greatly reduced the timeline before a joint statement of the members comes out. As many people know, the Serbia-Croatia war is one which offers nothing of interest, progress or anything remotely worth talking about. As such, the pragmatic leaders of Serbia have been lobbying to close this, quite frankly, annoying damage drain for both sides. However, as I earlier reported, Romania, Bulgaria and several other EDEN members had agreed in principle to a massive funding spree for the war, in anticipation of a USA counter-force. This however, began to annoy the Polish and in particular the Spanish (who could really use a Serbian MPP), as the war was the only real reason that neither country had launched MPP proposals with Serbia. Well, one night, things sort of boiled over, with Serbia offering to free some Bosnian regions in exchange for peace. I wasn't present, so I wont comment on how the talks progressed, or ended, but to say the last, both sides have varying versions. Serbia, Poland and Hungary seemed to question why Croatia would want to endanger an ally for a pointless war, and publically came out against the Croatian government; which you will appreciate, is quite a turn of events. To combat this, Bosnia and Croatia also issued their account of the talks.

Edit: Since releasing this article, Poland have all but signed an MPP with Serbia

Whilst I cannot speculate who is right, there is clearly one winner, and that is NWO: as the lack of tensions (or a breakdown of romance) between Poland/Spain and Croatia, is really the only reason that NWO has not yet been publically announced or formed. There have, as you can see, have been very recent developments in this, with Poland effectively signalling the end to Croatian hope that Poland will eventually "come to their senses" and return to EDEN. There is, however, the issue of the USA-Poland MPP, as well as Spains continuing reluctance to publically declare their move from EDEN to NWO. However, today is the first set of events in a line of many, that will see NWO publically announced.

jws advice: The beginning is in sight; just stick to your guns!

I must admit, I am astounded that EDEN is still technically in existence. Everyone knows that they will have to give that old bush a chop, but they seem unwilling to relent to the inevitable. I can also report, that they are actively trying to keep the brothership alive, by expanding its memberbase.

Oddly, they seem to be crossing wires with PANAM, or at least, approaching the same countries as them. What this means for the future of PANAM-EDEN, I am uncertain (although I still maintain that they will eventually merge to attempt to combat NWO dominance), however what I am sure of, is that in the short term, EDEN and PANAM are in direct competition for members. Should PANAM be able to announce a new member such as France, Indonesia or the UK, they will almost certainly be able to announce further new members, whilst EDEN gets none. Equally, should EDEN land the first defection, the chance of further ones will again increase.

I can, (as I am sure you are pleased to read) confirm, that to date, Indonesia, France, Germany and the UK have been tentatively approached, with a view to at least 3 of these countries holding "a good chance" of joining. In terms of official talks, EDEN are still days, if not weeks, behind the advances of PANAM and NWO, however they have at last awoken to the diplomatic competition that is now taking place. One thing I can categorically state here, however, is that EDENs influence, has been severely damaged, and remains effectively tarnished by the creation of PANAM.

jws advice: Try to ensure your current members are happy, before trying to expand with new ones.

To conclude, whilst the eWorld has been rocked with the controversy of the Turkish affair, in truth, the most important development to date has been the public sparring between Croatia/Romania/EDEN, with Poland/Hungary/Serbia/NWO. This is by far the most important thing which has happened in the past few weeks, and could arguably be a defining moment in the seemingly unending deadlock that we have seen. Of course, I could be wrong, and tomorrow, they could kiss and make up. However, I would bet a Q2 hospital that they do not.
