A true story about friendship

Greetings from Latvia!
I will start with a bit of our own history. As some of you might already know, when all the 3 Baltic nations were created more than half a year ago, several foreign takeover groups arrived and eventually won the congress elections and had full control of the starting national treasuries worth 1000g each. Estonia and Lithuania managed to make a deal with the looters and saved their starting gold, while we, the Latvians, were robbed and left without a single piece of gold.
Not discouraged by the harsh blow, the Latvian community worked hard with all the resources they had in order to build a better Latvia. Our gold was grain and we managed to slowly build our economy from scratch through blood, sweat and pain.
Then came the imperialist Finland, which invaded the very young, weakened nation and took from us the cornerstone of our economy – our only high grain region – Zemgale. An adult man beat up a child, took all the valuables he could find and felt proud of what he just did. This is how low the eFinnish nation is, this is how low the EDEN alliance is and always will be.
Latvians were full of hatred. Just like you a couple of weeks ago, we also were neutral at the time when we got attacked by Finland. We also tried to build up warm relations with everyone – especially with countries like Finland and Poland, which have always been our friends in real life. Obviously, not always the game corresponds to the real life.
If the events, which took place in the congress elections of April would have turned out differently and Estonia would’ve lost all it’s gold instead of Latvia, you would be the one’s attacked by Finland and you would be the one’s left with no hope and a heart full of hatred!
Thankfully, not every alliance has a morality of a criminal. PEACE and especially – Hungary – kindly offered help to us and liberated our regions. We will always remember the helpful hand PEACE gave us. Thankful for their help, we became proud members of PEACE.
The Latvian flag was flying high. We started recovering from the Finnish terror and as our economy and the military grew larger and stronger, we started thinking about revenge. It’s true that PEACE isn’t just a defensive alliance, PEACE will also always make sure that the offenders pay for what they’ve done. It happened with Canada and it happened with USA and the Finns are no exception.

Your government helped us to free the way to Finland. You fought with us shoulder to shoulder against the Finnish oppressors and the Finnish criminal got rightfully punished. Without you this would’ve never been possible. Latvia will always be thankful for it, Russia will always be thankful for it and PEACE GC will never forget your loyalty.

As the old saying goes - a true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.
There have been rumors that PEACE has been having problems recently, even the admins are stating that the alliance is crumbling. EDEN or the admins might not understand it, but a true friendship and loyalty always stands higher than a couple of letters – ‘p’, ‘e’, ‘a’, ‘c’ or ‘e’. A true alliance is something more than just a word on a piece of paper. PEACE is more than that. The truth is that a real friendship lasts forever.

Beefsupreme, you are mixing RL with eRepublik because of your lack of experience. I looked through your articles and, in fact, I saw a lot of things which reminded me of myself in my early days. The bitter truth is that RL has almost nothing to do with this game. And although I understand your position, you're wrong - this is no propaganda. This is exactly how it happened, this is how we felt and how we feel right now.

I see you conveniently forgot the part about which countries were the ones that stole your treasuries in the first place. Latvian gold is sitting in Indonesia, while Hungarians own part of the Lithuanian and Estonian treasury. Your great PEACE "friends"... You are as blind as bats.

Back at the time of the April elections I saw a lot of congressional candidates from Canada, Poland, Sweden, the US and every single one of them arrived here to rob the Baltic countries. If it wasn't for our dear friends from Hungary, Estonia would've lost all their gold. Hungarians returned *all* the gold and covered only their own expenses in saving their new Estonian friends, which were under the threat of the EDEN (then Atlantis) thugs.

Vilhelmi, I'm afraid you don't have the slightest clue what I was talking about. I was talking about the events in April, not June. I wasn't talking about your invasion. And I haven't said anything about you stealing our gold. I merely claimed the obvious - you simply chose the weakest link - Latvia. If we were stronger, you would've attacked Estonia and this is exactly what your leaders said at the time. You clearly have problems with English.
And, yes, there is no need to make new generations of players bitter about the past. This is exactly what I thought when I became the president of eLatvia. I tried to negotiate peace with Finland not less than 4 times. 4 times! You didn't care about peace or friendship. You stubbornly kept claiming that "declaring war was expensive and it might be useful in the future". And indeed it was. 😉
If you don't like my English, i can speak Germany, Swedish or Finnish if you understand them more properly.
If you can't combine those parts what I said, then you should attend to your English lessons more often.
I know that you tried to negotiate peace. You would have probably been PTO by us without that war stopping our immigration. What I have heard about those negotiation you should look at mirror.

I was led to belive that people of Estonia didn't support its goverment plans to backstab Finland. I am dissapointed to notice it was not the case. No more support to Estonia from me.

I don't want to start flaming, that is not my intent and that's not why this article was written, but nonetheless, you obviously aren't and have never been interested in burying the hachet. You still think we're your enemies and everything in the article regarding you is proven to be true once again.
We honestly tried and did our best to sue unconditional peace with Finland. We had no demands whatsoever. Finland denied our offers at least 4 times in a row. So, please, don't try to position yourselves as the peace loving, innocent Finns, who don't want us to be your enemies. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Estonians are divided on the attacks. Some agree, some disagree. Don't put all Estonians in one group, its like saying all Germans were Nazi's during WWII, which they were not.
What's so bad at getting revenge? You (Finland) got greedy, and attacked, and were ultimately pushed out. They attacked back. What's so wrong about this? Does the end result matter most, or the process in which it was done?

I don't see any eLatvian as my enemy. I only told my opinion about this things to counter your exacerbated views about our relations.
If you have noted, there was war between Nordic countries before we conquered eNorway. We were and are best friends with eSweden and eNorway even if we have war between us. I don't see reason to be mad because of that war if we can handle it by civilized way. Sadly it seems to be too hard for some eLatvians to understand it.
You should try to negotiate again with eFinland. Or don't you guys like PEACE? And I think that you should not have offered peace too many times to same presidents.
Handle the active war in a civilized way? Take a look at the Latvian media. Is threatening to invade us a civilized way?
