For those who have cared to pay attention to today's battle orders, you may notice that they are not calling for massive military spending to stop Russia. If you keep an eye on the events, you will also notice Finland attacking Norwegian regions. Here is a bit of information on the situation.

1. What happened?
Our former country president Mr Gordon Gekko made us loose all our Mutual Protection Pacts by attacking Sweden. When he was impeached, the already impeached first president Cl4trap became president again, as a result of a game bug. Before the admins removed him, he attacked Russian and UK core regions so that their MPPs became activated. The admins have still not responded to the numerous tickets asking for a full bug resolvment. UK swiftly moved in to occupy our high-oil region Vestlandet which they have always been wanting, and Russia moved in from the north, now taking region by region.

2. The current war situation
Russia has a war against Norway with 18 MPPs. This means that when they attack us, they have the support of troops from 18 other countries, while we have none. UK has a war against Norway with 11 MPPs. This means that they have support from 11 other countries, while we have none.
Needless to say, it is not just a matter of moving in to defend or take back our regions right away. We are very few people, and at present we suffer additionally from the low-activity summertime. This means that we have to be patient and think on a long term basis.

While most experienced players would understand it, it may seem odd to many of you when for instance the official battle orders tell you to fight for the occupant. Every aspect of our long term strategy can't be discussed publicly, so it all comes down to wether or not you trust that the acting president (Freke), minister of defense (Eha Pappkriger) and the non-PTO congress members are working for the best of our country's future. In about a week, we will have an elected president again, and things will start to stabilise. Our allies, such as Finland and Sweden, are working with us to make this turmoil last as short as possible.

3. What to do - for citizens
When the region you live in becomes occupied, you are technically living in another country. In this phase of the war, it is hard to tell which regions will remain Norwegian the next day. The recommendation is therefore to stay where you are, find a well paid job and wait out as the war evolves. The foreign currency you earn can always be traded back to gold/NOK later through the monetary market. When the time is right to return to Norway, information and guidance will be published.

4. What to do - for companies
Becoming a company in UK, Russia or almost any other country actually means that you can get access to a larger market. But since a region changing owner doesn't automatically give your company a license to sell on the new country's market, you must decide what to do.

You can't move a company, so you basically have three options:
- Keep your company going in the new country's market. Buy a market license (5 gold), hire workers in new currency, possibly keep old ones for NOK salaries if they live in a Norwegian region, and keep on making money.
- Put your company on hold. Fire all workers and shut down until the situation changes. A shut down company doesn't cost anything while you wait out the situation.
- Dissolve or sell your company to get some gold back and start a new company in a Norwegian region as soon as the war is over.

Please remember that the current situation was not created by the people who are now trying to correct it. Our means are few, so we have to rely on our friends and take the time necessary to re-establish a secure eNorway. The economy is hurt badly by this and a lot of you are confused and/or frustrated. Keep yourself informed and do the best out of the situation.

Your effort may be needed in the near future. When your support is called upon, please contribute according to what is requested. Although you might not see the big picture, taking the role that is asked of you will be an important contribution, no matter how meaningless it may seem to you.
