Hello Italy,

I see that you've decided to embrace your neutrality in the war between Phoenix and EDEN, choosing your foreign policy objectives by your own free will and not subjecting them to the will of another alliance. Ya know, I really respect that, and so does the rest of the United States. Italy should be able to do what it wants and not let anyone else boss you around. Yes, this will probably upset some people, but so what? If they are getting mad at you for fighting for your nation's own interests, then they are not your friends.

The United States embraces a non-aligned, "neutral" foreign policy as well. We choose our own relations with individual nations independent of the will of any overarching alliances. We like being able to work on a one-on-one basis with other nations that we think are cool and stuff.

You know, Italy, you're pretty cool. Let's be neutral together?

As I said, we respect you standing up for yourself and doing what is good for you; we respect you choosing to conduct your foreign relations independent of anyone bossing you around. The United States supports you in that, and we would look forward to developing a warmer relationship with the nation of Italy. We don't really have any issues with Italy, so there's nothing stopping us from getting to know each other a little better. 🙂
