The portrait of Tyler F. Durden is based on the avatar from TFD’s first account he started back on day 501 (not to be confused with his more renowned citizen that began on Day 601, as his wiki entry notes). Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago all avatars for all old citizens, orgs, and companies were removed. The portrait has preserved TFD’s first avatar and added in ‘easter eggs’ that represent his time here.
The Tyler F. Durden depicted above broke out on the eRep scene in April 2009 armed with his eFight Club and accompanied by his RL girlfriend ‘Marla.’ It was a time when wars were few for eCanada and the average player not affiliated with the CAF had little to do but bide their time. Equipped with his Paper Street Gun Co., Tyler F. Durden made it his business to get eCanadian citizens active and out to the battlefront, a citizens’ army you might say. This initiative of an energetic and combative new player appeared to be cut short when the account was banned for sharing the same IP address as Marla. But that was really just the start…
There’s too much to summarize here about what Tyler F Durden ventured into next. He restarted eFight Club by spearheading the ‘rescue’ and repatriation of many eCanadians during our complete occupation in the Summer of ’09, he became the first member to sign up for Bruck’s Canucks (now TCO), he helped re-establish CPF along with its Blue Moosey mascot and Praetors militia, he ran comprehensive media projects such as the eCanadian Hotsheet and Allied Hotsheet through eProject Mayhem, created a feisty character known as Canadaball, and engaged in fiery debates that raged through the community that made his presence an amazing spectacle to witness. He did few things by half-measure and trudged ahead when some others might have held back. It’s the main reason why you’ll see his name come up every so often long after he has gone silent.
For some in eCanada, Tyler F Durden was a feisty citizen who helped shape eCanada politics, its media scene, and its foreign relations (especially with the ‘Brolliance’), but for some in eCanada, TFD represents more than a memory and still remains a lingering, living influence over how we continue to approach this game.

so many articles. but i guess this is the least we can do.
Excellent work Wally.

TFDRIP!!!
To avoid any misunderstanding and to focus this article on its true purpose, I will clear things up. I did the work on the image, and Plugson wrote the article.
I never knew TFD, but wish that I did. Working on the image was tough, reading through all of his articles and knowing how important he was to the history and people of eCanada and eRepublik.

"I got lost, never found my way there, never saw the end, and never got to speak to other two guys or return the borrowed pamphlet. Just another small regret to carry."
No sir. This is an error, and I will correct it this instant.
You found your way. You saw the end. You have the chance to speak with both of us.
We can have no regrets, from this point forward. I do not have any, and I encourage you to release any you may carry. They are not needed, at this time. And you know fully that any "regret" would be mocked and laughed at by the one whom we honor, this day (and rightfully so!).
Out of sorrow, there always seems to come something of great value. To me this is true in so many things, but especially with TFD's funeral. Meeting "Marla" was something I will never forget, and to speak of it's importance to me would require words far beyond what erep would allow.
Meeting TaiwanPanda, a legendary man I still text most everyday... well, who can put a price on such a thing?
And of course, shaking hands with Plugson.

I miss TFD a lot. His "eLife" brought me a lot of laughs and fun that I will never forget. His passing brought me sadness, and the opportunity to meet in "real life" three people I will never forget.
There are no more words.

Yes, he would have had a big laugh about that mix-up. Ending up in a mall parking lot!? And then me driving off in the opposite direction on the map. Thanks for setting me straight with your wise words, Tem.

He put eCanada back on the map in this game and fought against the establishment, just imagine what we could have done with him as CP.
RIP Man. We only got talking in late may '10, he was working in one of my companies trying to kill himself off after that election, and was giving me his wages back for working at low health. Seemed somewhat bemused he kept getting gifted without being asked. I think his passing left us all a little dimished.

His name was Christopher Day...... We will not soon forget you TFD......
If there is eRep in heaven, then each medal is worth 100G, training is free, and Snimda's have no power..... Enjoy the game my friend.
RIP
I wish I had met him! From what I hear, he was a great guy.
