United States, Japan, and Asia
As most of you are already aware, the United States Congress has overwhelmingly approved President Jewitt's declaration of war to Japan. I want to stress that the United States of America has absolutely no intention of conquering and occupying the nation of Japan. Japan is the easiest, cheapest, and most efficient way for the United States and EDEN to gain a border in mainland Asia, and it should be known that Japan is not our primary target.
Yes, Japan is being unwillingly used by the Allies to enter into Asia, and for this I am personally sorry, but they are refusing to see the point of this entire endeavor and being, perhaps understandably, stubborn about assisting in the end of the imperialists. Many in America, however, remember when Japan allowed Indonesia to cut through them and attack our West Coast. That attack brought the United States to its knees and almost resulted in our complete obliteration. Thus, many eAmericans are willing to make Japan uncomfortable for the moment as we march into Asia. They will have whatever region we use to get into Asia returned to them as soon as we can get it back to them, and once we have liberated unwillingly occupied nations from the imperialists, eJapan will realize how great a favor we have done them and all of Asia.
For many months, the Allies have been planning this chain of events. We seek to liberate all those in Asia who are being unwillingly occupied by HIRIS/PEACE/Phoenix. The imperialists have long used eastern Asia as their personal playground, abusing its citizens and pushing them around. They use the resources that these regions provide to fuel their wars in Europe and Oceania-- all the while preventing the original owners of these regions to gain economically from these regions. This will end!
We come to liberate Asia, not conquer or otherwise occupy it. We come to repay those who helped us when the imperialists tried to conquer us, and to help those who are unable to help themselves. Liberty will reign throughout the occupied regions as they are returned
The entire might of the United States military and citizenry, the entire might of all EDEN and the Allies, will soon be in Asia to free all regions that are unwillingly occupied. The fight will be difficult, and this undertaking unprecedented, but with confidence in the allied forces, and with the unlimited determination of our people, we will triumph. The New World as we know it is going to change this month, and it will change into a world where the empire of HIRIS/PEACE/Phoenix will not hold other nations hostage and prevent them from growing and strengthening.

I don't think China is a puppet; quite the contrary. I think China is being unfairly occupied by the likes of HIRIS, and is in a delicate diplomatic situation, but they certainly aren't puppets.
I think your translator is not accurate. "我国" means "my country," which is Japan.

The difference being, Zanmor, that the United States has no intention of occupying any regions permanently. Our goal is to return regions to their owners, not conquer regions for ourselves. 😉 Unfortunately Japan was the only way to do this, and they were unwilling to work with us on this particular point (for completely illogical, but somewhat understandable, reasons), so the situation was forced to this current predicament.
Perceived response from some people on that point-- "Go through Russia." That would have been far too expensive and difficult given the Russian MPPs; it would have tremendously hindered our attempts to free Asia.
Anyways, it gives everyone a chance to play around with Godzilla pictures and Dokomo a chance to decry American jealousy of Japanese healthcare and technology xD.
"It's hard" is not an acceptable answer. The righteous path is through Russia. Take it. They have attacked both the United States and China.

As was mentioned earlier, help liberate Liaoning, Heilongjiang et al and I'm sure you'll get a lot of support here from eChinese. Many of us went from privates to colonels to field marshals helping eUSA in their darkest hour (although I remember we signed an MPP for war games only at the time...one long war game 😛) and I'm sure people would be greatful if the favour was returned.
As for the eChinese government, I'm sure neutrality will again be stated, at least until we are sure of your intentions. But like you said, PEACE has used Asia as their sandbox to play in and it will be interesting to see how this works out

I'm just excited to see some PEACE clobbering if it happens.
If I had any clout in eUSA (which I'm 100% sure I don't since no one outside eAsia knows me 😛), I would have suggested going through eRussia, which is the honourable way. It seems eUSA is a) afraid to take on eRussia, b) doesn't think they can beat eRussia and friends, and c) they want to punish eJapan.
But since eUSA seems to be afraid of the honourable route, let us hope their pass through the direct dishonourable route is quick and painless...or stopped depending on your views.
If they break their word to our eAsian brothers and sisters, I will be the first to fight in the resistance.

Reiji-- I am not privy to any specific plans, and I do not know what the current administration's official stance on the Theocrats is. Given the fact that the Theocratic "occupation" is a PTO and not a armed occupation, it is a trickier subject, I assume. Being the ambassador to China, though, I'm not much of an expert on the South Korean/Theocrat problem... I guess we'll wait and see?

Nations like eChina sacrificed for us when we were invaded and trying to get all of our territories from being conquered, and now EDEN is returning the favor. We were incapable of gaining all of our regions without help, and we know that it is difficult for many Asian nations to, so we are giving our help to those whose territories are unwillingly occupied.
But you are the State Department Chief for East Asian Affairs, isn't that right? My thinking is it's very hollow when the United States says they are here to free Asia from foreign occupation when these westerners (mostly Italian and Spanish) have set up a blatantly despotic regime in South Korea, and the United States says nothing of it. In fact some Americans openly support them.
What I see is America helping a country that has iron, the one resource that they don't have on their own shores. While wrapping themselves in the shroud of liberators, they ignore those who don't have what they want.
Don't misunderstand me. I want to be wrong. I want you to prove me wrong. I want you to free all the oppressed peoples of Asia. But with the first step being to destroy part of my home, you might see why I am skeptical.

Myles- RL Americanism has everything to do with this. Just as in real life, you are using the "liberation" of Asia as a front for your own gains, ultimately. The declaration of war against Japan is just a means to an end to you, showing no respect for sovereignty of other nations that do not suit you.
Like all your past invasions, you will ultimately fail and this will ensure Japan is secured with MPPs.

Well... As debate seems to be going in circles, I suppose all I can say at this point is wait and see. I sincerely believe that all non-Phoenix Asian nations will find the results of this endeavor favorable (provided we win the battles, that is!).
I note for the record that Japan is not now, has not ever been and in all likelihood never will be part of the Phoenix alliance. We were never invited to even look at its charter. I don't know why, but I imagine its drafters were aware that the Japanese people would not have an interest in such a document.

I won't pretend I actually know what's going on (seeing as how I've been two-clicking my way through eRepublik for the past few months)
However, you will have to go through a considerable number of neutral/peaceful territories to reach anything by attacking through Kyushu. If you don't count the Chinese territories that Indonesia's currently occupying (which I would assume isn't your only goal, for your sake.)
Results are results, though. If Heilongjiang and Liaoning end up being liberated, I won't say another word.
And as for South Korea, I understand that it is difficult to liberate a country from a PTO (even more so, since eRepublik's citizenship acts as a double-edged sword in this respect). Even so, arranging for it to be temporarily merged with Japan again, at least, until the Theocrats leave, could prove to be beneficial for your cause.
eIndia and eChina have same goal , drive the invaders out .

Amerikkka would rather stomp on a nation that doesn't really have a problem with them instead of marching through The Motherland like a proper invasion force. There's no Russian winter or Marshal Zhukov in eRepublik, so why not pull a 6th Army and march to Stalingrad?
