Hey guys, you are reading Casus Belli and today you`ll have the opportunity to find out a bit more about war module and terms that are used in this module... This is for the beginners and it would be nice if you shout it so the new guys can see it, bookmark it or whatever...

MPP or Mutual Protection Pact or alliance is an agreement between two countries.
Countries A and B have signed MPP, and country A gets attacked. country B automatically becomes an ally in the war. What does this mean?

It means that citizens of country B can fight from their homeland for country A without moving. However, this means that even if you dont want to fight against country C you will have to as you automatically become an ally in the war.

Alliances are proposed as laws by the president of any of these 2 countries. So if countries A and B want to sign an alliance, president of any of these countries has to propose an Alliance to Congress of both countries. 10.000 units of local currency is then removed from from the treasuries of each country.

It takes 24h for law to pass and if it doesnt, money will be returned to the treasuries of each country. After 30 days the Alliance is disabled automatically, but presidents can propose another Alliance thus delaying the end day of the Alliance by another 30 days.

If countries A and B both have MPP with country C and country A attacks country B, country A will automatically lose Alliance with country C and citizens of country C will fight for country B as allies in war. This is so called friend of a friend cancellation.

Alliance is activated by both attacking or defending which means that Alliances can be used to occupy other countries, but they cannot be used in Resistance Wars.

NAP or Non Aggression Pact is an agreement made by two countries that agree not to attack each other for some time. By other words this is signing of peace treaty...

NE or Natural Enemy is also a law but this one is used to define most hated enemy. This law can be proposed by both Congressmen and Country President and every country can have only one natural enemy chosen at a given time. It needs 66% of the votes to pass and as every law it takes 24h.

This law can only be proposed if 2 countries share common border. If the law passes here is what it happens:

- a free war will be opened between the countries
- citizens of the declaring country get 10% damage bonus when fighting against Natural Enemy (there is no bonus for rank points though)

There is no possible way to sign peace treaty with Natural Enemy without first unseting NE. Once Natural Enemy is set it cannot be changed for 7 days.

Natural Enemy is not mutual, if countries A and B are allied and congress of country A declare country C as natural enemy, country C wont be natural enemy of country B too. Also, citizens of country B wont get 10% of damage bonus while fighting against country C as allies in war of country A. However both countries B and A can declare country C as their NE if they share common border.

If the border between two countries is closed NE is automatically unset, making possible for both countries to choose another Natural Enemy without waiting period of 7 days.

DoW or Declaration of War is law that can be proposed by the Country President and is voted by Congress as any other law. It can be declared only if the countries share common borders. It was used before when there was no NE law but as it needs a lot of golds, it is not used by countries anymore.

MoD or Ministry of War is the government department responsible for matter of defence and war, and it is controlled by Minister of War which is chosen by the Country President.

MoD has control over Militar Units that are under control of the government. Before the implementention of the MUs and after Version 1 of the game, MoDs lost the control over soldiers, but still are able to choose national orders as CP has the ability to change the countrys priority battle.

MU or Military Units are organized groups of soldiers with members and leaders. MUs are very useful for managing orders and armies.

Regiment is a sub-group of MU. Each regiment can have maximum of 50 members, 30 which join automatically and additional 20 which are invited by the other 30. After regiments gets 30 members, another one is created. Every regiment has its own captain who is setting daily orders. Captains are chosen each 15th in the month by voting.

Every MU has its own Commander who is Chief in Command and is leader of the group. He can choose second in Command, kick members and set daily orders. Also, he can choose minimum rank recruits have to achieve to become full members.

MUs can follow National Orders and they dont have to on the other hand. After Military Units were implemented, most of the governments lost control over them, as they can easily change their orders and they fight for whoever they want.

DO or Daily Order is order set by commander or captain. Members are not obligated to finish these orders but for just 25 kills on the battlefield they are awarded 5 different parts of bazooka (read +1 bazooka) and 1 Energy Bar.

EB or Energy Bar is an item that restores energy to 100, no mater how much energy you have. This means if you decide to consume EB and have like 90/100 energy, it will restore only 10 but you will loose all EB.

They can be obtained by:

- Missions
- Rank up
- Finishing DO
- Purchase

You cannot consume EB if you have food in your storage

RW or Resistance war is a war started by citizens who want to free regions of their citizenship country from occupation.

You can only support and start a resistance war if:

- you are located in the region you wish to liberate;
- you have 1000 currency;
- ten (10) citizens support the resistance war;
- the region was conquered more than 24 hours ago;
- the resistance force of the country is not currently fighting a resistance - war in another region in the same conquering country;
- the region is not involved in a campaign.

If the resistance war fail, the supporters of the RW wont be able to support another one in 7 days.
If country starts RW and lose it, the resistance force will have to wait additional 24h to start another RW against the same enemy in any other region.

RWs can be used to drain damage or to liberate region. Even if country A allow country B to take few of her regions (for paying rent or giving region to ally) citizens will still be able to start RW. Only Resistance force and invader can fight in the RW, Alliances are not activated.

Something additional. If country A invade country B and occupy 5 regions, RW can only be started in 1 of the regions not all 5.

RH or Resistance Hero is achievement that can be obtained by liberating region. Reward is 5 gold.

BH or Battle Hero is achievement obtained by dealing the highest damage in Mini Battle for your Division.

Reward depends on your Division:

I - National Guard 2 GOLD
II - Soldiers 3 GOLD
III - Special Forces 4 GOLD
IV - Tanks 5 GOLD

CH or Campaign Hero is achievement obtained by dealing the highest damage in Campaign overall for every division.
