- ¿Quién es Clopoyaur? Dinos un poco acerca de ti.

Soy un chico normal de Romania, tengo 38 años, siempre de buen humor y probando nuevas cosas en la vida. Vengo de una hermosa región en Romania llamada Maramures y como pasatiempo colecciono sombreros. El sombrero especifico de Maramures se llama “Clop” y puedes verme usándolo aquí:

- ¿Qué puedes decirnos acerca de tu país RL? ¿Alguna recomendación?

Romania es un país hermoso, definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo. Está situado en el centro-oriental de Europa, es conocido en el mundo como el hogar de Drácula y Vampiros Además tenemos paisajes que te quitaran el aliento, personas fantásticamente cándidas y una variedad de tradiciones de las que estamos orgullosos.

Transilvania, Maramures, El mar negro o Sibiu son lugares que definitivamente debes visitar en Romania.

- ¿Qué sabes acerca de México RL?

Se que la Ciudad de México es enorme con 30 millones de habitantes, colocándola como una de las más grandes en el mundo.

Que les gusta el futbol, tortillas + tacos. Que los mexicanos aman la comida picante y que también usan sombreros grandes. Me gusta Guadalajara, Romania jugó allí en 1970 la Copa Mundial contra Brasil.

Recuerdo a Hugo Sánchez, un jugador de futbol fantástico. Se que la bandera Mexicana es realmente bonita (Como la de Italia pero con un emblema en medio) Conozco que los Mexicanos son personas muy valientes y que México es un país a donde ir después de hacer algo malo en USA. También que hay algunos complejos turísticos muy agradables allí.


- Ok, hablemos acerca del juego ahora. ¿Qué te hizo empezar a jugar eRepublik?

Honestamente no tengo idea. Sólo que estaba jugando este juego y en algún punto me pregunté si debía continuar o dejarlo. Decidí dar algunos clicks más y 9 años más sigo aquí, jugando.


- ¿Qué parte del juego es la que más te gusta?

Me gusta mucho la parte económica, pero en el último periodo estuve algo perezoso como para hacer cálculos y cosas así. Me la parte que estoy haciendo, es decir el stream que tengo: Clopoyaur TV.

Conectándome con otros jugadores, hacienda el juego más divertido, organizando competencias y premios es la forma en que me gusta más jugar. Y streaming. Disfruto cada momento de esto.


- Hay un gran problema para los nuevos tratando de jugar eRepublik. ¿Crees que el juego está roto por los “packs” como Maverick e Infantry por ejemplo? Dinos qué crees de esto. 

No creo que los paquetes “Maverick” o “Infantry” estén rompiendo el juego, pero dan un poco más de balance, porque sin ellos solo algunos jugadores (monstruos con fuerza superior a 100000) quienes obtienen todas las medallas en divisiones menores.

El problema con el juego es que los jugadores no tienen razones para quedarse, porque no encuentran contenido suficiente para mantenerse jugando. Son insignificantes en el campo de batalla, encuentran difícil integrarse a la comunidad, el módulo de medios periodísticos no les da la suficiente satisfacción, mientras que la política no está diseñado para los nuevos.

Si eRepublik ofreciera más cosas por hacer a los nuevos jugadores, el problema de retención no existiría. 


- Recientemente recibiste 1000 gold de Plato por hacer a la comunidad más active. ¿Esperabas ser premiado de esa manera algún día o fue una sorpresa?

Fue una sorpresa total que no esperaba. He estado haciendo transmisiones para eRepublik por 4 años y no recibí algo significativo de Plato en todo ese tiempo. Sin embargo estaba muy feliz por eso ya que sentí que mis esfuerzos en el juego fueron recompensados.

- La gente tal vez te conozca por tus transmisiones. Dime un poco acerca de esto.

¿Qué hago allí? Básicamente hago radiodifusiones mientras juego y me divierto con la comunidad en tiempo real a través del chat.

¿Qué pasa en las transmisiones? Competencias, discusiones acerca de lo que pasa en el juego, peleas, guerrillas, regalos con toneladas de precios (tan solo la última vez regalé más de 200k cc), juegos interactivos y cosas así.

Sólo entra y ve.


- eRepublik fue vendido hace unas semanas. ¿Qué te parece eso? ¿Crees que va a cambiar?

En el estado actual del juego, todo lo que pase es algo bueno, el juego ya no puede estar peor. Por lo tanto soy optimista. Jugué otros juegos de la misma compañía que compró eRepublik y eran buenos.

Creo que algunos cambios harían que eRepublik sea grandioso de nuevo. Tendrían que agregar nuevo contenido al juego. Este juego está produciendo dinero. Los desarrolladores tienen que darle razones a los jugadores para gastar su dinero, para nuevos y viejos jugadores.


- Tú, como un gran jugador y muy viejo en el juego ¿Qué puedes decirle a los que inician a jugar ahora?

Si tuviera que empezar de cero de nuevo, no lo haría. Considero que es frustrante estar y esperar 1 o 2 años solo para estar bien, ganar fuerza y ser competitivo en tu división.

En el actual estado, el juego premia a los jugadores que no juegan, lo que no es normal. Tienes que ser un experto cuando inicies el juego y hacerte un poco “tonto” conforme avances, cuando la curva de aprendizaje debería ser diferente.

Mi consejo para los nuevos jugadores es: disfruta el juego, presiona todos los botones, intenta todo y diviértete.

- Who is Clopoyaur? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
 
I am normal guy coming from Romania, 38 years old, always in good mood and always trying new things in life. I come from a beautiful region in Romania called Maramures and I have a hobby for hats. The specific hat from Maramures is called Clop and you can see me wearing it here:

- What can you say about your RL country? Is there any recommendation?
 
Romania is a very beautiful country, definetly worth visiting. Situated in the center-eastern Europe is known in the world as the home land of Dracula and Vampires.

Aside from that we have breath taking landscapes, fantastically warm people and a variety of traditions that we are proud of. Transilvania, Maramures, Black Sea shore or Sibiu are a "must" when you visit Romania.

- What do you know about Mexico RL?
 
I know that Mexico City is huge city that has 30 million inhabitants, making it the bigges city in the world. I know that you like footbal and tortilla + tacos. I know that Mexicans love eating very spicy and they also wear big hats called sombreros.

I like Guadalajara as Romania played there in 1970 at the World Cup in football with Brazil. I remember Hugo Sanchez, fantastic football player. I know that the Mexican flag has a very nice flag (like Italy but with something like an emblem in the middle).

I know that Mexicans are brave people and that Mexico is a country where you go after you did something bad in US 😁). I also know that there are some nice resorts for holiday overthere. I run out of characters in this message, but I could continue.
 
 
- Ok, let's talk about the game now. What made you start to play eRepublik?
 
Honestly, I have no idea. I just know I was playing this game and at one point I wondered myself wether to keep playing or quit it. I decided to give a few more clicks and 9 years later I am still here playing it.
 
 
- What part of the game you like the most?
 
I like the economic part a lot, but in the last period I was too lazy to make calculations and such. I like the part that I am doing, meaning the stream that I have, Clopoyaur TV!

Engaging with other players, making the game more fun, making competitions and giveaways is they way I like to play the game the most. And streaming it. I enjpoy every moment of it.
 
 
- There is a huge problem about the new ones trying to play eRepublik. Do you think the game is broken because of packs like Maverick and Infantry for example? Tell us what you think about it.
 
I dont think the Maverick or Infantry are breaking the game, but give a bit more balance, because without that there will be just a few players (monsters of over 100000 strength) who get all the medals in lower division.

The problem with the game is that the new players have no reasons to stay, because they cannot find enough content to keep playing.

They are insignficant on the battlefield, they find the community too hard to integrate in, module media does not give enough satisfaction, while politics is not desinged for newcomers. If Erepublik would offer more things to do for the new players, the retention problem will not exist.
 
 
- You recently received 1.000 gold from Plato for making the community more active. Did you expect to be rewarded like that one day or it was a surprise?

 It was a total suprise as I did not expected it. I am streaming Erepublik for 4 years already and did not received something significant from Plato in all this period. However, I was very happy about that as I felt my efforts for the game rewarded in a way.

- People may know you for your streamings. Tell me a little about them.

I am streaming for 4 years, mainly eRepublik. The address where people can find me is: www.mixer.com/clopoyaur .

What I do there? Basically I am broadcasting myself while playing the game and having fun with the community real time trough the chat.

What happens on the stream? Competitions, discussions about what is happening in the game, fighting, guerrilla fights, giveaways with tons of prizes (only last time I have given away +200k cc), interactive games and so on.

Just come and see.


- eRepublik was sold a few weeks ago. How do you see that? What do you think is gonna change?
 
In the actual state of the game, everything that happens is a good thing, the game cannot go lower that this.

Therefore I am optimistic. I played other games from the company that bought Erepublik and they were quite good. I think that with a few changes Erepublik can become great again.

They mainy have to add content to the game. This game is producing money. The developers just have to give the players the reasons to spend the money, both new players and old players.
 
 
- You, as a great player and very old in this game, what can you tell to the ones who began to play now?
 
If I would have to start again from zero right now, i would not do it. I consider is frustrating to stay and wait 1-2 years in order to be good, to gather strength and be competitive in your Division.

In the current state, the game actually rewards players that are not playing, which is abnormal. You have to be expert when you start the game and you can become "dummer" as you advance into the game when the learning curve should be different.

My advice for new players: enjoy the game, push all the buttons, try everything and have fun.
