Day 1,896, 05:08 Published in Philippines Philippines by Boy Pick Up

Greetings!

We Filipinos love sports! You can see many Pinoys who excel in all kinds of sports. I believe that despite our height, we Filipinos can become world-class athletes, because we have the heart and determination of winners.

Let's start with basketball. Hands down, basketball is the most popular sport in the Philippines. We cannot deny our craze and love for the game. Almost in every town there are basketball courts.

Undoubtedly, the best player in Philippine basketball history is non-other than Robert Jaworski. He is known for his team's never say die attitude in any situation that they are down.

He played for the PBA team with the biggest fanbase, the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

Meanwhile, boxing is also one of the most popular sport in the Philippines. We are known all over the world for our talent for this sport.

Manny Pac-Man Pacquiao is one of our greatest boxers who won a record EIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS IN EIGHT DIFFERENT WEIGHT DIVISIONS. He is known for his killer left punch and his quickness whenever he steps in the ring.

Nonito Donaire or the Filipino Flash is the current Boxer of the Year of ESPN and other major organizations. He is continuing his dominance in the ring after winning all of his four matches this year.

Another name is the Hawaiian Punch, Brian Viloria. He is currently dominating his division and is continuing to rise in the boxing world.

We also have rising sports like Soccer where we are represented by the Philippine Azkals.

Rugby is also a fastly growing past time for Filipinos because of the successful run of the Philippine Volcanoes.
