{eIre DoFA} Department of Foreign Affairs Update

Day 3,408, 19:37 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by Rusty D

Citizens of Ireland,

Recent turn of events has seen a cabinet shuffle and new faces in different positions. As a result of this, the Irish CP/Dic Releasethe Krakken has asked me to help out in the DoFA, as the dMoFA.

Please hold your applause till the end

This will be just a quick update on some of our most pressing issues, our current occupation. Now that I am officially working on behalf of the Irish people, I have re-opened lines of communications with both MKD and Spain. These negotiations involve a team picked by me, to discuss and report back to the 'commune'. I do want to thank Krakken for giving me free reign in these discussions.

But now for a quick update per country situation...

Spain

Discussions with Spain were restarted in the early hours of the morning (my time... God I hate it when I wake up early) and so far are progressing okay. Both parties want to achieve a deal that is suitable for both their nations, as well as not negatively impact their citizens. I believe Spain understands the Irish situation and they do not want to bully or hold us down unjustly. They do have some concerns, which we are trying to address to ensure both parties are happy with the end result.

MKD

The DoFA re-activate the conversations with the MKD leadership group as well. These discussions were already going very smoothly due to previous arrangements which saw the release of Shannon, which we are thankful of. The Department of Foreign Affairs will continue to work with the government of MKD to find a solution that is acceptable to both countries. I believe we are both in understanding on what that solution is, but we need to wait until some outside factors are resolved.

What can you do to help?

While it might be tempting to drop a billion or so damage if a RW comes up, the DoFA would like you to reconsider it. Any large scale damage done during an unplanned RW will have negative impacts on negotiations and could result in an adverse reaction by other nations.

We understand the desire to get some TP points, but if one un-authorised RW starts, please restrain yourself from going nuts, do a few hits, but save your damage for our allies who are in need.

I will try and keep the public as well as the commune up to date with any fresh information. But until then, I can not stress enough Do not start any unnecessary RWs or do large scale damage, instead, focus on our allies.

Thank you,

Rusty D
dMoFA eIreland.
