Proposed new mini-game

A few ideas for a 'Battle for Ireland' sort've game split into three teams - The Irish, Vikings and Saxons.
I think the map would go something like this:
Each player needs to post their move in the comments here. Otherwise, they're quite free as a team to manage themselves as they like.
Every player starts with 4 soldiers. You can use these to attack from/defend the region you're in.
Non-occupied regions will only have two "defenders" protecting them, so it’s encouraged to expand early!
Each owned region grants one soldier to every teammember each turn. Controlling a coloured 'set' doubles this.
e.g. The 'West' (Mayo, Galway, Roscommon) would go from 3 to 6 each per turn.
You can attack any bordering region you're based from at the start of each turn.
You can also stay put/move anywhere within 2 regions of your team’s territory and help defend should your team itself be attacked...
e.g. Move from Donegal --> Tyrone --> Derry
Combat System
Attacking and defending would work similar to risk. If either side has enough soldiers, the attacker will roll 3 dice and the defender 2. However, the defender's roll always wins on a tie.
e.g.
'>Attacker rolls 6, 5, 5. Defender rolls 6, 5. Attacker loses ‘2 soldiers’
>Attacker rolls 6, 5, 1. Defender rolls 6, 4. Both lose 1 soldier.
>Attacker rolls 6, 2, 1. Defender rolls 5, 1. Defender loses 2 soldiers.
A 'battle' is continuous until one side has any troops left to capture/defend the region.
After losing a battle you'll respawn in your home region with a single soldier (yourself) next term. A team is eliminated when they have no more regions to respawn in...
Anymore suggestions welcome! A bit of filling in before we go into signups

Comments
- When I was a kid, I remember gathering friends to play this board game called "War", very similar to your "Battle of Ireland" 😉 Eager to see how that develops
this game is based on risk. but sure sounds fun will look if i can gather perhaps an irish team here in the emerald isle.
Aye a few things to fix before we go into signup stage, perhaps adding a limit to buildings, max amount of players who can switch/sign up per turn etc.
Once most of us are happy with it and we've kicked off then any changes ought to be agreed unanimously between the teams
I fear that any kind of new activity that is more complex than selecting a Dominion Territory is going to be too much for me to take on board....
It's tempting to remove the 'building' part of it to keep things simple, agreed
> Viking team
Yes.

RK and me will get some Irish players
