The Economist ~ a United Kingdom

Dear Friends,
In the fading hours of the election, many on the JB and Pensive team will be saddened and disappointed that GLaDOS has won. However we cannot deny that this has been an emphatic victory for the man. Personally I put it down to a well organised campaign and the personal reputation of one of eRepublik’s greatest characters.
In the coming month it will be tempting to stand apart from his administration for many of you. But we must accept the democratic mandate of the people, and the oldest truth in politics: it is better to be inside, making a difference, than outside, moaning about the result. All of you are talented people, from both the Pensive and JB camps. I know I woke this morning hoping to see Pensive with a clear lead, and many of you are probably in a blue funk about the results- especially the two other candidates themselves.
Remember however, that although the President is the leader, it is his team which provide the powerhouse of ideas, motivation and drive which make a term a great success, or a great failure. Let’s build on the back of previous governments- both left and right wing- to provide a future where we can have free election, in a secure nation with a strong economy. It is our duty to both ourselves and our members that we give it our all, that we make GLaDOS' term a good one. Because antagonism during elections is healthy (and I will fight for a left candidate next election) but fighting a President purely because of his political affiliation should be something, I hope, of the past.
So here is to the United Kingdom.
Praise be to Dio

Rightly said.
Well said.
bravo Iain, bravo!
to the future, a truly United Kingdom!
... and Iain is still ruling from behind locked doors.
I am pleased to take up my position as Co-MoFA.
undoubt-ably a quality piece of information, old chap.

"Cos everything, is gonna be alright." Dam you for making the song stick in my head. >.<
to a United British Isles!
OK... Which ever way it goes you get the Ministry. SO you still have the means to act upon policy. Glados names you there not to have Congress against him.
TUP blew out when they didn't get PCP support. We have to rebuild a stronger eLeft campaign for the next election.
TUP blew out because they didn't get the support from the base of their massive party.
TUP blew out because it has become a stranger to the eLeft.
Pensive is a fine fellow, and deserved a larger score.
...
>> TUP blev out because it has become a stranger to the eLeft.
I'm curious, what is the definition on e-leftist politics in eUK?
Agreed.
Well said. o/
Melophore, you're wrong. I don't know where you come up with these ideas from, but you are. I'd explain, but this article is not about politics, it's about pulling together as a country.
Melophore - what the hell are you on about?!
The voting public chose who they wanted to rule and fair play to them. I think TUP & all other parties did a good job of campaigning (apart from whoever put that Pensive is a hacker ad up). I agree that Pensive deserved more but the will of the people cannot be questioned. They voted for someone else.
Iain is still MoE
>> it's about pulling together as a country.
That pretty much answers my question on how e-leftist TUP politics really are.

Oh, wait...
Ah, Mr Carter, I left your party because you really couldn't even answer a simple message. Just because your party numbers are falling after this election isn't really my fault... You should think about it. I did tell you that TUP would loose.
TUP let Pensive down. The absence of PCP support was fatal to TUP.
TSP is just a chamber of TUP. Our rising numbers and their declining numbers is a sign of that.
I am really disappointed that Pensive didn't win, despite having the BIGGEST party behind him, despite him being a ideal candidate, despite TSP support... The PCP didn't follow because of TUP behavior. TUP alienated the eLeft.
Elections aren't won on paper, they are won my mobilization and dynamics.
eLeft is about pulling people together, it is about the people's interest. Pulling them together towards a direction the eLeft doesn't want isn't being eLeft.
Keers should serve in the Glados Administration, I even offered him my help, even if it is small.
I think next time you need to unite all the eLeft parties under your candidate and we will probably win.
TUP is looseing alright. Whatever that is.
You're attacking typing mistakes because you failed, and will go with Glados to save your hide...
Isn't attacking spelling a sort of elitism ? A sort of intellectual smallness ?
TUP lost because it didn't get all the eLeft votes. You have to unite your side to start with if you want to win a national election.
Your recovery plan was designed to create an illusion of recovery to get TUP to win... it failed.
If you were honest you would leave you position in the Glados cabinet to someone else. The election has not confirmed your policy, maybe it is tile for you to withdraw and think about this... rather that accept what Glados offers you.
You don't accept democracy, as long as you have the MoE. I don't know why you say you accept when your destiny was already fixed. Whatever the outcome of the election, you stay in place. Maybe you should go... and come back to support a TUP candidate at the next election.
- eLeft is about pulling people together, it is about the people's - interest. Pulling them together towards a direction the eLeft - doesn't want isn't being eLeft.
I love words, they are great. Sound so nice...
Ern. Yeah. Well done Glados and good luck to the new government.
Bring on the Lulz...! \o/
Maybe next time the whole eLeft will agree on one candidate. Victory is almost assured in those conditions.
Question Keers, it's easy ! You said we never had it so good ! Why vote for the opposite parties massively ?
Melophore, I am lost for words at your lack of understanding of anything.
Nice article Keers. Onwards and upwards 🙂
Great point.
Tootes.
Melophores confused, he seems to think PCP is TUPs little brother or something, they are an independent party, remember this fact!
Yeah, that why they didn't support you 😉 and a good way to explain your actual defeat.
I know they are two seperate parties... TUP needs to change if you want to win.
Good article.

@ Melophore, I'll start listening to you if you put forward any ideas, solutions, reasons... anything that isn't an eloquent version of "TUP are fail lol"
I will start putting foward ideas, solutions and reasons.
I have announced the SDP housing scheme that has housed many, results are beginning to be there.
