The eAustralian Tank Bank
Aus Ministry of Finance
Alright eAustralians… You’ve heard Rusty banging on enough about this article. And a program like this has been a long long time coming.
Are you tired of seeing this:
or this?
and never having enough gold for what you want? Are you an eAustralian citizen? Well, read on!
The eAustralian government will give you an interest free loan of gold to get your training grounds upgraded. Or to afford a training contract. Yep, you read that right. The government will let you borrow gold with an interest free loan.
How does it work? There are some fundamental steps to follow. We will not give out gold to anyone who walks in off the street, after all. That’s throwing your tax money away, and we’re responsible people.
First, you need to find a sponsor. This needs to be an eAustralian citizen. They should be someone who is known to the government. Send them a PM and talk about it, because they are going to be doing you a big favour.
Send a message to the DoEE org (the same org that has published the paper). If you can’t work out how to do that, please please please ask in the comments. It’s simply enough, but not as straightforward as you might hope.
Whoever is running this org (currently me!) will respond. We will ask some questions about you. This will include your citizen details, a screenshot upload of your current training grounds, who your sponsor is and other boring and responsible questions.
We will speak to your sponsor, and find out a limit they are prepared to back you for. Note to potential sponsors: you may be asked to provide up to this amount if your friend goes AWOL. Because we are not horrible people in government, you will be allowed to borrow twice what your sponsor will back you for.
A worked example: Ilene Dover is sponsored by Rusty D for a maximum of 100 gold. Ilene could be sent up to 200 gold, but if she disappears before paying it back, Rusty might have to cover 100 gold of the loan.
How do you get your gold? Well, every game day you need to message this org. You will be forwarded 0.5 gold for each message. Every day. During the 2-day discounted upgrade windows or training contract windows (which normally roll around once a month) you will be sent 10 gold. It’s not possible to accept more than that amount in a day - some sort of game mechanic limitation.
This means that, if you’re active enough and message every single day, you can easily wind up with 30 gold (3 separate special days) plus 14 gold (0.5 gold per day for 28 days) for 44 gold a month. That’s more than enough to get your training grounds lifted out of the gutter, or to cover the worst part of a training contract.
There are some limits though! Once you have enough gold to lift your training grounds to the next level (we know, because you sent us a screenshot) you will be cut off after the next discounted upgrade window. Unless… you send us a screenshot of your shiny new upgraded training ground of course!
What are you waiting for soldiers?! It’s time to start working towards 90 strength every day! Hop to it!!

Please note, for the first month, this will be financed by my Dictator Gold (plus private funds). After a first month trial, I will be selling it to the Government to have it either fully funded by the government or partially funded.
This program that Ilene thought up (yes there are similar ones around the eWorld) is something I strongly believe in and hence why I wanted to see her roll her idea out.
And dont worry, if after a month the new CP/Government doesnt like it, but it is working, I will steal her idea and use it for either a Politcal Party or MU based.
I can't argue with that. And neither should you lot.
There's no shame in asking for help.

good o/
thats nice! bit late no new citizens these days
New is relative these days. I've been here 6 months and only just got over the line (with a hefty loan from a friend).
I'd be willing to bet there are players past D1 in eAustralia that do not have full TGs
Ilene will be your personal trainer... because she is fit and she knows it:

Good idea mates, go ahead.
What a nice program...
It is the sorta thing I was trying to sell to Indo before
Goodo. Get on it, noobs! Tank up! Get stronk!
great,
how if there was no sponsor?
We'd do our best to find you one.
If you're interested and don't know any potential sponsors, send me a PM and I'll share the names of some people who might be prepared to try.
Judine I can sponsor you if needed
I gave most of my gold to RD recently for some sort of AS based pyramid scheme (I think that's right? - No wonder he has so much food and weps to give away now 😛)
But I usually have some knocking around so would be happy to help where I can.
It's a great idea - train and get strong!
I am currently trying to convince Congress in letting me AS Mars
I hear there's a double-value limestone resource region there.
Also it borders Ceres and from there we can strike out at Uranus, which Guag has been wanting to hit for ages

Getting people upgraded health bonuses works as well, no point in strength if you don't have much energy 🙂
That is a good idea Camshaft. Ilene maybe if you can try and incorporate that into your scheme?
And for the good idea:
You have successfully donated 1000 AUD. If the user accepts, the amount will appear shortly in the citizen account.
Are you meaning energy centres Camshaft?
http://www.erepublik.com/en/economy/advanced-buildings
Basically, people need the relative factory upgrades to increase the health bar as well as what Henry said below, self sufficiency makes the game easy which gives more people a reason to stay 🙂
I don't entirely agree. If you give people everything then there is nothing to strive for. At what point do people need to take responsibility for their own goals?
Training grounds are a direct benefit to the country, through strength growth. Think of that as the interest payment. Loans for factories and RM companies? Not so much...
Energy centres are a different thing again. They're wildly ineffective, cost wise. Only long term plays should even think about it. I would have thought most players have enough contacts by that stage to arrange their own finance. I am happy to be corrected on the issue though.
There is no new player retention scheme, there isn't a sufficient system to keep people engaged and informed, remember most aren't as vocal or included as you so helpful contacts aren't really a thing, energy centres are VERY effective in my opinion, I have to use energy bars if I want to keep my small bombs because I don't log on enough to reach 1500xp in a week, but when I have a higher health bar I can reach it on food fights, maybe you have it good but I guarantee most aren't as lucky as you 🙂
I think a production grant could also be beneficial, get people more companies, that means they can pay their debt and then start creating an income, as well as adding to the countries coffers ....
But then the issue will fall back to what resources we have, market saturation, proper market/business planning etc.
But maybe someone with good business sense can develop a program to run along side, but solely for business minded people
it's more about self sufficiency, if people can eat people fight
I ran the numbers before. Getting your climbing centre and weights room to Q4 makes a better return than any factory.
Something similar has been tried before, using FRM companies. I don't think it ended well.
I've run communes and other programs for years, the biggest problem is people don't have enough food, if people have food without having to beg then they are more likely to be productive, then all they need is weapons, but you don't need to have a Q7 factory, you just need a couple of small companies which you sell your stock to buy the good stuff.
Yes I agree that Training centres are vital, but if people don't make anything to eat, sell or use then training centres are pointless, because they won't stay around long enough to advance far enough.
Maybe aim for upgrading the free training centres and a few food companies & RMs to compliment, at least this way they have something above the poverty line .....

Wish that offer was about when I was D1 level.
Neil.
It is open to all divisions. So if you know any Aussie's need a helping hand...
