No, I’m not going to talk about Metallica although I like this song. This is from their concert in Bulgaria few years ago. I’m not going to talk about their concert either but I’m going to talk about Bulgaria and about the Bulgarians.

But first let’s say few words about me. I’m a RL Bulgarian but I’m eCanadian citizen for more than a year or even more. So it is not strange that I’m currently a Bulgarian ambassador in Canada and a Canadian congressman. Both countries have perfect relations so I was in a kind of eParadise here. I used past tense because I have some problems last few days.

Canada has 40 congressmen and every one of them has 4 citizenship passes so this makes 160 passes overall. The last month more than 50 of them were used to approve citizenship for Bulgarians. This was great and I want to thank for this cooperation. For those who are not aware the Bulgarians are asking for citizenship so they can sell their gold for CAD and then they buy saltpeter mines for 7500 CAD each. This way they spend approximately 7 gold for a mine. If they do the same in Bulgaria they would have to pay almost 13 gold. After they build their new companies they go back to Bulgaria and change their citizenship again. Well some of them stay here but they are less than 10 %. eBulgaria (the eBulgarians) has never ever tried to make a PTO attempt to any other country. Never!

Unfortunately this month the things have changed. Still a lot of Bulgarians are coming but now the Canadian congressmen changed their mind. Most of them don’t want to spend their passes for players who just build companies for 5 minutes and then they are gone. The congressmen want to keep their passes for people who would like to stay here longer and would do their best for Canada. It sounds awesome and it would be nice if that really happens. I mean if somebody choose Canada for his new home.

If you check the list with citizens waiting for approval and you ignore Bulgarians you will see players from ONE countries and very few other players most of them also willing to build companies. You may not like it but the fact is that at this moment there are 3 types of citizens who may want Canadian citizenship: RL Canadians, PTO-ers and ones who want to build companies. Look that even the current vice president is an American, the minister of defense is an American and the minister of foreign affairs is Irish.

The congressmen have their right to do their job the way they think is best no matter if I or someone else thinks they are wrong. The thing that makes me worry is that some of them act this way just to ask for gold from the Bulgarians. We all know about The EZStreet Scandal. But it is not only this case. As a result of all this I published an article in the Bulgarian press that Canada is no longer a place for Bulgarians who want to build new companies. Sad but true.
