Today is election day for Country Presidents around the world. Here in the US, we have several folks interested in the job, and Point Taken wants you to meet all of them. Below are statements provided by the candidates, in their own words, about what they stand for and why they want your support.

Oblige
Next month the administration will be focusing one two things. The first? Acquiring 100/100 bonuses for the US. This will be more a proof of concept than anything else since given the current distribution of the world it will be very difficult for us to maintain our supply lines to all the resources we need.

During my next term each department will compile and organize all of its tools. A lot of players like to speak of the glory days of V1 and how much better everything was back then. This is our chance to achieve those same levels of glory. And we can do it together.

A vote for Oblige is a vote for: America. Freedom. Opportunity. Civility. Diplomacy.

Ghinculov
I'm a Libertarian. I stand for lowest taxes (not lower, lowest, you heard me), less direct war and more help for our allies. The short explanations is the pursuit of happiness. The more money you have the more you can do to increase your rank, experience or give for your favourite cause (so, if you think the Army deserves more you can give to them, not make everyone else do it). I know, many don't agree but I don't really expect those to vote for me. Less direct war? This means less invasions. In my time playing erep the US was almost wiped out 3 times already and I don't want a fourth.

My chances are slim (close to 0 more likely) but my goal isn't really to win. Instead I'd like you to think about becoming a True Libertarian and join our cause. Not finishing last? A bonus.

Faucoult
I am faucoult, the misspelling of Foucault. I am stellar counter-troll. I am about 12.5 years old. I like to leave raw materials amounting 31. My irc nick is [PLATO] and always searching friends to play hax on official channels.
Now, open in front of USA!

Sir Gulden Draak
Mr. Draak did not respond to my request for a submission, but he did post an article earlier today declaring Oblige the winner and asking for support to be the second-place candidate. The silver medal finish, Draak claims, would allow him to take over in the event that the winner is impeached or banned.

Pizza the Hut II
Mr. Hut promised that he would “write something up then” but had not done so by press time. He claimed in an article yesterday that he is the only candidate “with an in-depth plan,” but did not elaborate on what that plan might be. He claims he has “the most political experience” ignoring the fact that one of his challengers has just finished serving a term in office. Hut’s detractors claim his extensive appeals to real-world politics and ideologies have no place in the game, and suggest his Serbian ties will be destructive to America.
