Let the Battle Begin! (again)

Well, for some reason, the previous article was deleted because it was considered SPAM. LOL. So in this edition, I will remove all the very cool patriotic quotes and just greet everyone a Happy Memorial Day........... Sigh. How bland. But meh.

So sorry to all who posted in the deleted article. We will have to do the Battleship game all over again....


Ready to do this again?



Just like in the classic Battleship game, we have a 10x10 grid, like this:

I have already placed the ships in position. There is one of each kind. The link to the file is here:

LOL. The link is incomplete. You didn't think I was going to give you the location of the battleships, now did you? Don't worry, when the game ends, I will complete the link above so you can preview the file. I simply uploaded it early so that nothing can be switched during the game. Fair enough?

However, to give you an idea, here's a SAMPLE of what it might look like:

All you need to do is select a grid number and press fire!
Example: I post A8 and J2. In the sample chart above, A8 hits nothing, but J2 hits a sub. Yay!

Keep in mind the following things:

■ There are 3 attack cycles (eRep time zone)


■ You have 2 torpedoes which you can fire in EACH ATTACK CYCLE.
----> Therefore, you can fire 2 on Sunday night, another 2 on Monday morning, and a final 2 on Monday night.
----> If two people fired at the same grid #, only the first guy will be counted. The second is a wasted torpedo.
----> It's up to you if you want to attack in 1, 2 or all 3 attack cycles!

■ After each attack cycle, I will update the chart to show if you made any hits. SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE to the section called BATTLE UPDATES

■ If you hit a ship, you get 100 points. If you and other players combined your torpedoes to successfully sink a ship, ALL players who helped in sinking the ship will get BONUS POINTS (see chart for how much bonus points you will get)

■ Because some people no longer need food anymore, after the game, I will give you a chance to pick your own prizes by redeeming points for items.

----> 100 points for 10x Q3 Food
----> 100 points for 1x Q3 Artillery
----> 100 points for $12USD
----> 200 points for 1x Q5 Tank
----> 1200 points for 1 Gold

Remember: if 8 people sink the carrier (8 spaces), each player gets 100 pts for the hit, plus a bonus of 1000 pts for sinking it (total 1100 pts). Since you only have a maximum of 6 torpedoes for all 3 attack cycles, the best way to sink more ships is by inviting more people to play!

To redeem your prizes, all you need to do is to fill out this form (if you do not fill out the form at the end of the game, I cannot send you any prizes) :

Remember:
-The carrier needs 8 hits to be sunk.
-If sunk, it gives a total of 1100 points bonus for every successful hit (100 for the hit, plus 1000 bonus for sinking it)
-If not sunk, all you get is 100 points per hit
-It is impossible for YOU ALONE to sink the carrier.
-The real jackpot is in teaming up to sink the ships! Especially the carrier!
-Even if you played during ALL attack cycles, the maximum torpedoes you will fire is only 6.
-That's why the best way to sink more ships is by inviting more people to play!
