Not too long a time ago, Mexico was ours
There wasn’t any question. US really had the power.
Nobody wanted the bother to PTO the place.
We always would control it. We’d always have the ace.
Nobody around here wanted to habla espanol.
To woo a senorita. To make a chicano pol.

Today I read a paper with Turkish in the van.
Many papers I can see are in both if they can.
And I have heard that the Mexican gov
Is really just a Polish glove.
I’m as much to blame as anyone can
But next time may we take a stand.
