EDEN/EOEN - Time to Change Name - Ideje nevet változtatni?

Az EDEN hivatalos elnevezése: Erepublik Defence & Economy Network, magyarul az Erepublik VÉDELMI és Gazdasági Hálózata. Az utóbbi idők eseményei a négy betűből az egyiket kiütni látszanak.
Egy pillanatra ne foglalkozzunk azzal, hogy az USA ázsiai "felszabadító" hadjárata hódítás volt a javából - a legfontosabb régión továbbra sem annak eredeti tulajdonosai ülnek, hanem most az indonézek helyett az amerikaiak. Képmutatás ugyan, de mostani témánk szempontjából mindegy, az indonézek és az USA közt régóta háború van, az inga (és az ingyengold-arány) Amerika felé lendült és ez leképeződött a harctéren is.
Én most igazából a spanyolokról, lengyelekről, románokról szeretnék itt beszélni, az EDEN politikai törzséről. A szövetség megalakulásakor mindegyikük saját régióin állt. A nyári világháborúban Spanyolország egy időre eltűnt de gyorsan feltámadt, a lengyelek időnként bepróbálkoztak a gyengébb németekkel, hogy high régiót szerezzenek (otthon egy sincs nekik). A románok pedig már május óta lényegében saját területén álltak. Az őszi konszolidáció és a PEACE észak-amerikai hódításainak felszámolása után lényegében ugyanez a helyzet állt elő, mindenki otthon volt. Nem tudnék olyan régiót említeni, amelyet EDEN-ország tartott volna közvetlen megszállás alatt.
Sokáig úgy tűnt, védelmi jellegüket gazdasági és politikai offenzívával egészítik ki. Románia politika befolyása Ukrajnában és Moldovában nyilvánvaló volt, csakúgy, mint az USA hatalomba kerülése Kínában, majd Japánban és Indiában is. December óta a hangsúly azonban nyíltan a katonai támadásra került: Spanyolország majdnem eltörölte a franciákat. A lengyelek teljesen megszüntették Németországot. A szövetség most Angliát is támadja. Szlovénia eltörlését itt nem említem, mert az részükről taktikai szükségszerűség volt, de a nem Phoenix-tag Franciaország elleni akció? Az "just for fun".
Nem mintha bármi baj lenne ezzel. Kivitelezhető volt, meg is csinálták, ez a játék erről szól. Kivitelezhető volt Erdély elfoglalása ha csak egy napra is? Igen, meg is csináltuk, még ha ennek a játékélmények kívül semmi stratégiai előnye nem volt is (persze a játékélmény segít több játékost itt tartani, és ez már a stratégia része is). Nem bírálom tehát az EDEN-t hódításaiért, lehetséges volt, megtették. Csak a név, az már nem igaz. Persze, legjobb védekezés a támadás, de tényleg megtámadta volna Németország a lengyeleket? Ők most igazából az Erepublik Offensive & Economic Network.
Látok némi párhuzamot a nevében szintén védelemre, békére utaló PEACE és az EDEN pályafutása között. Ha a védelem sikeres, ebben a játékban kötelezően támadás követi. Egy ideig legalábbis.

The official resolve of the abbreviation of EDEN is Erepublik Defence & Economy Network. The second of the four letters are highly questioned by the history of the past weeks.

Let's skip for a while that the 'liberation' campaign of the USA was merely a conquer - now Karnataka is American and not Indonesian but not Indian at all. It's a kind of hypocrisy but it's not important for the present topic. There has been a war between the USA and Indonesia for a long time and the pendulum (and the free gold ratio at Golds & Extras menu) went to the favor of the Americans, even in the battlefield. It's normal.
Now I'd like to talk about Spain, Poland and Romania, the political trunk of the EDEN. All of them held their original regions only at the time of the alliance founding. In the summer world war, Spain was annihilated for a short time but quickly revived. Poland made some efforts to get a German high region (they do not have any in Poland). The Romanians held more or less their country only after May. After the autumn consolidation and the annihilation of the PEACE conquers in North America the original situation was more or less restored. I cannot mention any region, which was directly conquered by the EDEN that time.
For a while it seemed that the defensive character of the EDEN is coupled by economic and political offensive. The Romanian influence in Moldavia and Ukraine was obvious, as well as the USA political power in China, later in Japan and India. Since December, however, the defensive character was changed by a major military offensive. Spain almost annihilated France. Poland conquered the whole Germany. The alliance is attacking the UK now. I intentionally do not mention the conquer of Slovenia by the Croats as it was a tactical necessity - but the attack on a non-Phoenix member France? It was just for fun.
Don't take me wrong, I see no problem about these actions. They were feasible, and this is the rule in the game. Was the conquering Transylvania was also feasible even for a day? Yes it was, and we made it, although it brought not so much strategic gain (the fun feeling, however, is a strategic factor as it keeps more players in the game). I do not blame the EDEN for their conquers, they were feasible and done. However, the name of their alliance. It is not true anymore. I know, the offense is the best defense but was a German attack on Poland a real threat? Now the alliance is the Erepublik Offensive & Economic Network indeed.
I see some parallelism between the career of the PEACE (which refers to something defensive and peaceful character in her name) and the EDEN. If the defense is successful, the offense comes. At least for a while.

The ties between Romania and Moldavia are very strong in RL too as they are in ER and if I am not mistaken (and I am not ) in every election there is a ehungarian "representative " too 🙂
As for eUkraine-eUkraine is part of Entente ,has MPP s with eFrance ,eRussia among others 🙂

Oh, and I really forget to mention the initial attack against Bulgaria, which was a part of a really offensive plan.
But I repeat: you are right but you did not argue the main message of mine.
There were several talks with eBulgaria starting from August last year but it seems that they have a way to not give an answer .
Several months in ER means a lot if time to give an answer ,but eBulgaria did not .
And really eBulgaria is and was of no real interest .It was the only feasible gate ,that's all .If they had negociated they would have lost 2 regions for a few days and got their infrastructure back .
Now they have a baby boom but I think because of the lack of experience in managing an influx of new players the baby boom does not have more chances then the french baby boom had .Depending of the type of players brought into the game maybe some players are more "motivated" to remain into the game (those with RL issues against eRomania) but I do not think those type of players can build a strong community 🙂
You seam to neglect the fact that France was the country that in fact wiped out Spain from the map. About UK I don't think there is a need to tell it is the most detested e-country among EDEN members because of its past actions.
And I'm not trying to do propaganda when I say that I think that in the end the only country that will be conquered by EDEN just for fun will be Hungary.(if this will ever happen...)

The country that is the 'only feasible gate' is not interested in talks? Let's conquer them, if feasible. I repeat, it's OK, the game MUST be played this way.
Anyway, it is not a defensive thing at all 😉

Even if a high grain region was needed I think Poland vs. Germany I turned into something way to muck RL world related.(even more that Romania vs Hungary if that is possible... lol)
Still RL issues can do sometimes a great job in motivating users.
Anyway because of the high number of new players they got now the chances of a wrong decision backfiring on our Polish allies are very reduced.
A name is just a name, and in the case of Eden a name designed specifically around an acronym. If you want a case of a hypocritical name, look at Peace inagme or the UN IRL.

U attack France because they wiped out Spain? Then it was the same with USA attacking in "French toast" . Or it will be legal to wipe out Romania too, or for Serbia to wipe out Croatia.

- We never called our moves liberation.
- We mainly hold hihg regions only ( and 1 region for border - Jilin ), not hole countries
- If theres IRL why you use PTO-s, then why where U at Belgium?
- And if theres no need for it, why do you want to go to Asia? China has roman mpp, he is safe, we dont want more. So why going to Asia?

Okay, EDEN is not about defense anymore. After a half year or so when our countrys were on the knees trying to defend Spain, USA and others, EDEN was a defense alliance. But who attacked as? Peace Global Community... A defensive alliance. Also the war that started now was a Phoenix design. When I joined eRep, Hungary was taking Transylvania, Slovenia was attacking Croatia and Germany was trying to librate their regions from Polish oppresors. But this offensive was turned in 180 degrees with anihilation of three countrys belonging to Phoenix. You must admit it: IT WAS AN EPIC FAIL. You couldn't wipe out Romania, or Croatia, you let Germany to be swallen and what was the deal with a lazy walk of Serbia to Asia taht took entire days, while Poland and Spain was region swaping everyday isolating UNL and UK.
Phoenix is stronger, has more strength and exp than EDEN. How could you let this all happen. How could you let those who were on your mercy and their "defensive" alliance to push you around.
Eden is not only a lie, but they can not choose an ideal name for themselves. When EDEN jelled, nobody attacked them. There wasn't even a war a single war and first Spain then Poland started to became an aggressive type... then USA, Romania and Croatia.
Be reasonable, it is only you, EDEN members who will get into the muddle, because you will be always the aggressive side of eRepublik, no matter your name. Atlantis or EDEN...
