2-Clicker 2-Minute Morning Coffee Summary - 13 August

Day 632, 05:10 Published in USA USA by Zheng He

Portugal retreated from Pennsylvania after we won, but due to a software fault the battle continued. Portugal's president used the time to retreat, which is a loss that is not counted as a loss in the game rules.

Portugal attacked Virginia, where the battle is very close.

Portugal attacked Delaware, and in a new tactic, the eUSA immediately retreated. I'm just guessing, but I assume the president decided we had no chance of winning and didn't want us 2-clickers to waste our strength. Delaware has only 35 citizens, no hospital and only a Q3 defense system, whereas Virginia has 372 citizens and a Q4 hospital.

We went into overtime when Russia attacked Illinois, but Russia eventually conquered.

Russia then attacked Ohio, where we are losing badly at coffee time.

Allies report:

France (a PEACE country) attacked Asturias in our ally Spain. The battle went into overtime but the French won.

If you have time to fight this morning, it looks to me like Ohio is a lost cause but the Old Dominion could use help. The DoD would rather us check back later for new battles.

If you have time for a second cup, here's an interesting article on why eUSA did not fight in Asturias, and how software problems totally screwed us yesterday.

What's overtime? The war rules are a complicated, but a battle lasts 24 hours. If neither attacker nor defender has won, we go into overtime. An attacker wins (conquers) if the region has less than 0 defense after 24 hours. In the battlefield screen, this is shown by the red Conquer and the fight being "UNDERGROUND". A defender wins (secures) if the region has above DefP defense points. In the battlefield screen, this is shown by the green Secure and the fight being "IN NO MANS LAND".
