2-Clicker 2-Minute Coffee Summary - Economic Woes

We have seen a lot of discussion about this eworld-wide depression. It's certainly the most serious I've seen in my nine months in the game. Yesterday, Harrison Richardson gave 4 reasons:
1. Lack of war
2. Acquisition of high iron by the eUSA
3. Military communes
4. Strength training
Number one is obvious ... war means we buy more guns, wellness gifts, moving tickets, and wellness packs. This all gets money moving through the system. His reasoning for number two is a bit sketchy (or maybe just over my 2-clicker head).
I've been talking about number 3 for awhile, ever since I realized my salary was reduced to $3 a day (sometimes less!) by working for an Army company. Congress won't fund the Army worth beans, so we have our own companies, work for beans, and sell the guns to ourselves for beans. Not only is that a lot less money being made and spent, we take hundreds of very highly skilled workers out of the economy. Companies are therefore less competitive. And the soldiers have less money to spend on other items, and we only by Q1 food! The economic cost of military companies is huge.
Solution 1: Congress, give us our guns!!!
I've also been talking about strength training (aka Lana whoring) for awhile and have a very simple solution that the admins should like. See, Lana brings RL money into the game, allowing admins to pay their programmers better. But Lana takes emoney out of the players, because the gold we spend is not distributed!
Solution 2: Make her part of the economy!
When I buy a Q5 house or Q5 weapons, that money stays in the game for someone else to use. Instead of the gods running fitness centers, players should be able to create a fitness company and the rest of us can buy their products to increase strength. (Or just call it steroids 🙂
). I'm not sure what raw materials should be used, but it would be important to make those raw materials expensive or fitness center owners would be too profitable.
This would still solve the admins problem of cash flow, because people would still use RL money to buy strength as much as they do now.
Solution 2.B: And while we're at it ... shouldn't using Lana cost wellness?

yabbablax!
Now, having rea😛 That's a very interesting idea. But I reckon they think it is simpler to make a direct gold conversion.
But gyms could be made of wood and built by construction companies making more skills useful...but, anyway, V2 and all that.
Great idea!
your solution is interesting, but I don't think the game will allow it.
I, too, have been thinking along those lines but I think a better solution (at least for the lower ranked players) might be for the government to compete with lana.
The whole lana thing is about ranking up quicker. Another way to rank up quicker is to use weapons and/or high grade weapons for each fight. So why doesn't the eus government provide high grade weapons at a discount? Considering what lana costs the discount won't have to be that great but it will have the same effect as lana has-- allowing players to rank up quicker. Players would still be spending their gold, but in our economy rather than the admins economy--and the players would be performing better in battle as well.
my two cents,
