The programs description doesn't narrow down its sole use. That program is more intent for Forums with no actual purpose then as an open discussion board, so it's used to get rid of annoying members.

The Auserepublik forum is however a forum used for particular discussion, using that program there would be different to using it in another type of forum.

I still have doubts that this is aimed to be of a malicious nature however even as a joke it's somewhat innapropriate.

Anyway, wait until Derek can have a chance to say something before we go defending or attacking him.

I think everyone's getting a bit carried away here. Whilst DA's actions seem a little odd, there's no political agenda here... several of the people on the list are his compatriots. So why don't the people on the list just take a deep breath, and PM DA to ask him 'whassup?'

Regardless of the "intent", it is grossly inappropriate, especially since some of us forked over real life money to help support the forum site's hosting fees. I've requested my donation be refunded, and strongly urge anyone else who donated to do likewise. We should not be financially supporting such childish actions.

The middle of wartime is hardly the appropriate time to mess with the forum capabilities of top ranking eAussie members.

I was logged in to 6 different rooms but away for 99% of these, as I was doing RL things.

I think Derek made a mistake over emotion, and that the damage caused was minimum at best (he removed the feature in a couple hours after). Yes it was a pain and a grossly inappropriate, but does that cancel out all the work DA has done on the forums?

Alright then, well are there others with the technical knowhow? There should be no 1 dictator spot on the forums, have a few head admins/admins that know what their doing etc. At the very least, the Forum Funders should get a say in the matter.
