Proposed by Elvea
The President of France demanded a sum of 0 Gold from your National Treasury in return to a peace treaty with USA.
--How I voted
No
--Why?
It seems as if France might have been trying to isolate Spain and Sweden as the UK had already passed a peace agreement with France. Also I did not want to vote to abandon the US's allies in a war against France.
--How it looks it will turn out
It was voted down with 12 members of Congress abstaining from voting.
--Direct influence on New Jersey
French could possibly launch an attack from either Pays-de-la-Loire or Brittany, still, but not very likely. We've a nice sized wall.

-{Tax Change: Oil}

Zigon, wanted to change the income tax on oil to 20% from 10%.
--How I voted
No.
--Why?
This idea was not discussed before it was proposed and has absolutely no merit whatsoever. This would hurt both workers and business owners.
--How it looks it will turn out
This looks like it will fail. Not a single member of congress that I've spoken with believes this was a good idea.

None since it will not pass even now
