[Nathan Woods... Country President?]

Day 494, 09:05 Published in USA USA by Ian John Locke IV

Yeah that's what I thought when he first told me about his intent to run and his desire for me to be his VP. I thought, Jeebus Christos, we have Scrabby, and DF and possibly JJ and now Nate?! What is going on in this crazy effed up world?!!!

At first I was polite, ... "I'll consider it..." etc. Then, however, I checked out his platform. In that one Google Doc was everything that I had been looking for in a Presidential Candidate to help run this month. I felt so excited about this campaign I felt that I had to accept the position as VP. I had to talk to a few friends first, though. I went and talked to some buddies in the AAP, then USWP, UIP and NP (IRC rooms) and they all reinforced what I had been thinking... it's a game... have fun with it! So I decided, yes, I'll have fun with it.

Well you all read Nate's article right? (Well if you didn't, you should, here it is **linky**... I suggested the name btw 😉 )

[A Little About Me]

Well I'm about 8 months old (222 months IRL) and have done a great many things with my eLife.

/me rambles about early days in the AAP...
In my first weeks as a citizen, I joined the United States Workers Party as Gillz was the mayor and suggested I check them out. Roby Petric was the Party President (if that's any indication of the approximate time period) and I believe Archibald was CP. About a week later was mayoral races and I worked to help Aubra Elvie achieve that status as he was USWP. Well after trying to help, I got blown off a few times by the party in general and left. I got a message from Uncle Sam and joined the AAP, which, at that time, was being lead by Evan Bayh. I joined the party and the forums and became very active. I learned more there than anywhere else, especially from Evan, Sam and Citizen HEM. I eventually took up the role, under Citizen HEM's party presidency (V1) as Director of Public Relations. PR was a big deal for me and the party experienced a slight boom. Later, Sam took over as HEM resigned and I took on some more positions in the Recruitment Departments and PR and a few other places.

Eventually I wanted to run against Uncle Sam but he left the country and forgot to sign back up. I won that election but resigned it to Sam, allowing I become Co-PP, causing John Jay to leave for the UCP. After that month I made a real push for AAP PP and got it in a 2 or 3 vote win over Uncle Sam. The next month the AAP experienced a population boom similar to Citizen HEM as well as a congressional representation boom. We secured 9 new seats. The next month I won a landslide. Some players decided not to run for congress again and we let some lower party players in to run. Our numbers decreased to 8 (in congress). After this I firmly planted the party leadership in the ground and the population boom took off. We over took the UCP and have been nearing the CvP.

I have tightened relations with the USWP and have taught a great many party leaders how they should work under someone else as this (as I have been saying for over a month now) is my third and final term.

/me starts talking about actual qualifications besides adding over 100 members to a political party ....
I have been elected to the United States Congress three times. Twice in New Jersey and once in Missouri. In my first term, working with One Eye, an advisor to congress at the time, I secured for New Jersey the next Q5 hospital to come out of production, which has come to fruition only a couple days ago.

[Did I vote for PANEC?]
Let me tell you something, IRL I am a college student hoping to receive my degree in Mathematics. Clearly numbers sway me easily.

When I looked at the numerical and logical proofs supporting PANEC and the statistics they gathered using the CTPA and the arguments they had (hence why it is called a Compromise) I was swayed to support this. If you think about it though, everyone compares this game to real life... well most people. Compare it now, PANEC falls far short of Real Life taxes in the US... that aside....

[Did I vote for MEEHEECO?]
Yes. But not the circumstances that played out. I voted that we only take three regions for security purposes and use one for constant resistance wars.

[Why am I bothering with all this useless meandering?]
Well in the past, most VPs have dealt with the President's cabinet in terms of organizing them and keeping lines of communication open between them and the President.

As Public Relations director, I am an expert at keeping the lines of communication open.

As VP you have to know how to lead a group of people without having an in-game title, I've done that when Uncle Sam and I lead the AAP together for that one month.

PANEC and MEEHEECO are two pressing and important issues in the daily lives of Americans. You deserve to know the positions of the VP on these issues. I may not be leading the country, but I will most certainly be helping.
