The Salvation Army Project: an idea for saving eLives

Day 750, 23:54 Published in USA USA by Jude Connors
NOTICE: Before I start, I want to apologize to Kyle321n for being unable to be on his show, as I had promised, due to a RL situation. Kyle, I am sorry and I hope I can be on again soon. - Jude

As I am sure you may have noticed, articles have become less and less frequent. My most recent article prior to this one is over a week old, and so much has happened in a week. I'm going to try to keep it short, but I am making no promises.

Since my last article, I have become the new Congressional DIC Head of the 24th Congress. As the Domestic/Internal Committee Chairman, it is my duty to manage the civilian affairs and government oversight operations of the committee. This is an amazing honor, as I was voted into this position by my fellow Congressmen serving in the committee. It also is an awesome duty, one I do not take lightly.

Since appointing CrashNBurn as Deputy DIC Head (Citizen Affairs) and Panther as Deputy DIC Head (Government Oversight); the DIC has been busy. The committee took the ball and ran with it in an effort to create a new media award. The result is The Flufferton Award and The Flufferton Foundation. The Flufferton Award is actually five monthly awards promoting good media and newspaper articles. For more information, contact the Foundation.

In addition, there has been much discussion about Citizen Recruitment and talk about saving our eAmericans stuck what we call the Wasteland, any state or eAmerican region that is not one of the fortress states (CA and FL) and therefore without a hospital to heal after a battle or maintain basic wellness. The latter has been a big concern, so I talked to Congressman Emmanuel Cruise, who recently began a Congressional Outreach Program to bring our lost brothers and sisters to California and Florida.

After Jewitt was elected to be President of the eUSA, I was offered and accepted the Cabinet position of Secretary of the Interior. I immediately placed Emmanuel Cruise to the position of Director of the Mentoring Program and worked with him and a few others to put together a plan that combines citizen retention and outreach with education and training. The result is The Salvation Army Project.

The Salvation Army is a combined operation of the Mentorship Program, the Meals on Wheels Program, and the Flying Unicorn Squadron Program. It is a mainly volunteer program and will require everyday eAmericans like you and I to make work. If successful, it could help the eUSA reach the 10,000 Fist mark of ten thousand active eAmerican citizens. Best of all, it is a plan that helps people new or lost in the game already.

Volunteers will mass-mail all eAmericans living in the Wasteland regions of the eUSA offering support from The Salvation Army project. Those who respond will;

1. Be Gifted to >40 wellness (in order to fight)
2. Be Sent a Moving Ticket to Move to CA or FL (to heal)
3. Be given food (to increase wellness)
4. Be offered employment at one of the job training centers operated by Congress (to work)
5. Be paired with a Mentor for two weeks (to learn the mechanics of the game)

I believe that this programs basically offers all a new eAmerican needs to become an active and productive citizen. I remember my early days in the game (I joined the day NJ fell to the Russians) and I remember all the help I received from everyday Americans. I would like to offer all that assistance to all eAmericans lost in the Wasteland. If you are interested in helping by volunteering, please contact me in game or shoot me a message on the eUSA Forums.

Till Next Time... Take A Sad Song And Make It Better!
