Sinai – The Gate to Middle East

Todays was Sinai liberated. To be honest it wasnt liberated by Egypt (respect to all freedom-fighters) but by military unit Owls.

Its not silly to say that Sinai, Egyptian core region, is one of most important regions in eRepublik. Its gate to Middle East, within conquer of Israel its only realistic path to get into Arabia and its oil for European powers. (the opossite thinking as gate to Balkan is true but unlikely in near future) The introduction of 3 Arab countries added new strategical depth to game. Israel isnt now "the calm end of world" as it used to be but became important country from military strategical viewpoint. The same apply to Egypt and partly to Cyprus, but most obviously to region of Sinai.

Advantage or disadvantage?
The importance of Sinai shall make from whole eastern Mediterranean region large conflict zone. Collision of interests by involved countries - from Erepublik powers Greece and Turkey to smaller nations like Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Cyprus (+possible interests of other strong Balkan countries) shall create PTO attempts, wars and distrust.
The Sinai will be wanted subject for swaps, rents and invasions. Like it or not, all ME countries will be confronted with neverending Greco-Turkish war as well larger scale of conflict - crush of alliances. If this will divide ME countries from each other, its countries will be probably sooner or later subjugated to foreign interests. For years of existence just Israel has built some country identity and tradition in erepublik(and everybody knows that situation is still not ideal), Arab countries are currently forming it with many difficulties, however Cyprus´s fate is becoming very clear...
With lack of respect and understanding by Turks and Greeks the ME situation will becoming wild. In such situation only united stance and non-interest driven help shall make difference. This is not line againist any wars in ME. The situation in ME will be interesting in any way.

Sinai now
Sinai is still not free from danger. Region shall be attacked by currenly Greek held regions Red Sea Coast and Tabuk or as before - by Cyprus. Some Greeks and Turks still searching resources for operations and offer various deals driven by effort to damage each other. I am looking forward to next events.
