I want to open with a personal thank you for all those that voted for me in East Midlands on the 25th. I needed help on this one and I got to talk to a few people that took the time to "write" my name down. I appreciate the support and want you to know that it continues to motivate me to contribute to our community... with things like surveys and charts and analysis!

To those that think that nothing ever happens in Canada, they should take a turn at a project like these polls. Although the questions are often similar, they can have slightly different nuances (in meaning or context). Better yet, the answers usually give rise to new questions.

The recurring questions allow to analyze trends over time and attempt to capture the shifting mood of the population. The new questions represent snapshots of what was happening yesterday, is happening today or if I'm lucky, what will be in the media tomorrow.

Of course I want to measure how you all think our sitting President is doing. And with Congressional elections done, I want you to give me a chance to gaze in the crystal ball and see what may yet come for March.

Tell me where you stand and I'll tell you what you think... or pretend to.
