eIreland: Citizens by Country of Origin
Death and Taxes
Hello again. Some time ago I was contacted by an individual and asked to do a survey of Irish Military Units. That article will be published today. Please see my previous article here.
In compiling this research, it occurred to me that after Kurdt's article here and the erroneous assumption that the article was racist, or at best, anti-Croatian, it would be a good idea to do some research into Ireland's nationalities at the same time.
In compiling this information I have researched each and every MU that I could find. If there was any doubt about the COO (Country Of Origin) about the citizen it went down as 'unknown'. In establishing the COO I based it purely on newspaper articles, or friends, or other tell-tale slivers of information gained from their profile.
I am not saying that this is 100% accurate, but it is certainly accurate enough to give a very good idea of where our citizens come from. I have deliberately omitted their MU for obvious reasons.
I am not making any comment on the information below in this article, but reserve the right to respond to any comments. The author is publishing this information as facts and there is no political or racial motive behind it.
I'll be back later today with the MU report.

Didn't think we had that many RL Irish
: ( Would I be under unknown or other?
Is doimhin é poll an amhrais 😉
I may publish all the information so you can have a laugh at my assumptions. I wasn't going to actually ask anyone as it would have given the game away. I think you're down as 'other' Irasian.
can i be unknown.. i like pink... or or... put croatia pink...
Awesome work Malbekh, challenges some of the preconceived notions I had.
Voted...nice article
Very nice work Mal. I look forward to your MU report.
Tá an nuachtán seo an suimiúil Malbekh. Níl a fhios agam an Ghaeilge do focal "article" :3 Ach Cé mhéad daoine ag tuigeann mise? 😃
I'd have thought being from the UK would be a category, I know there are a few of us over there.
@ B&T I won't tell you what I got in Irish in the Leaving Cert so let's leave that one aside
@ Danie It's well possible that there are more eUK than it seemed as long as they started here. But even still, no more than a handful
google translate does wonders b&t 🙂
there is even... 'irish' 🙂
Nice voted
Nice. North American here.
Interesting.
póg mo thóin
Sorry. Only Irish I know.
I'm from Northern Ireland, a catholic - glad to see Ireland owns NI atleast here 😉
Nice report, honestly didnt think that many RL Irish were on here

Good article, Mal.
I'm from Southern Ireland (a Protestant) but living in Northern Ireland. It appears that some at least of our Croatian ecitizens live in Ireland. Complicated or what?
I wonder what category I fall under.
I demand that North America be separated. I dont want to be grouped in with Canadians haha.
I demand that Irish be separated. I don't want to be grouped with Jackeens.
I was USA when I first signed up for eRep. I remedied that in the first week of my e-life, and got eIrish citizenship, to be where I belong. I may fall under the N.A. category, but I think everyone here knows I am eIrish, through and through.
You could make a nice little dark blue piece for Scottish.. and put me in there. 🙂
I'm with Bhane o7
I'm from the Republiv of Ireland in RL (Athiest) and I'm actually was convinced there was only a handful of Irish here.
Good to see loads of fellow Irishmen here, from both sides of the border.
Aye, Blaze. It'd just be better if we could get more RL Irish on the game. The only reason it seems so few is because so few are openly active.

I demand that Irish be separated. I don't want to be grouped with boggers
Suppose I go under "Unknown"
@chewie
I was briefly thinking of renaming those of unknown heritage as 'bastards' but we both know people would have taken it in bad faith....
@Mal, I don't think so. I think most of us know that eIreland is jam-packed with ......
*goodfaith*
