What a week it has been!

Whereas some people have been unable to get passed the recent Party President Elections, the United States Workers Party has been hard at work.

CONGRESS ELECTIONS

In the United States, there are fifty-six regions. That means two-hundred and eighty people must fill in the seats to run for Congress. Unfortunately, game mechanics specify that the candidates MUST be sponsored by a Top Five political party. That this means is that if a "Sixth Party" candidate wants to run for office, he must change into one of the Top Fives and run as a member of that party. In addition, the party is responsible for running "blockers" in any region that a real candidates has not declared candidacy. If a Federalist is running in Florida, for example, and even if he secures the endorsement of the USWP but still runs under the Fed flag, it is up to the party to find someone to run against that person, just to lose. These people who do this are called blockers and actually help defend the country from foreign PTOs by "blocking" out the potential PTOer. This is what the Elections Division of USWP has been busy doing.

The USWP is running twenty-three candidates and three coalition candidates this election. That means we had to find thirty blockers. We able to find enough, but that isn't where the work ends. You see, there is a strategy and you try to get your candidate into a region that might be easier to win than others. But since America has 56 regions and only three fortress states, this means you have to move each person running outside of the fortress states. That requires a ticket, which a true candidate usually supplies for himself. Blockers are usually supplied the moving ticket and a few gifts by the party.

"Wasteland" candidates/blockers need ticket to get to the selected region, Then, the candidate/blocker applies for Congress before turning around and headed back to their fortress region (which should be California). It is a huge and expensive undertaking for any party, let alone one that just experienced a regime change.

But we did it and now that party is over. I am bushed, but we only have one day "off" before it is time to co-ordinate the Mobile Voting Corp. If you want to help out the USWP and become a member of the MVC, please fill out this form.
