Can't blame the soldiers
mittekemuis
Greetings UK ,
Not here to write a nice victory speech or a thank you friends article nor am I bringing you an update from the foreign affairs department. I am writing because I am frustrated.
Yes , I know I am a Government official and that I am not allowed to go flaming.
But to be very honest I am frustrated, ashamed and a little angry.
I am talking UKs failing at the military. Why I always need to go beg for help with our friends when the UK would be very capable of handling it themselves if they weren't as lazy and undisciplined!
Only two days ago we had an epic win. It would’ve been entirely Thrilling, were it not that I was pleading and asking for help almost all day and so was Ayame crocodile during the night
Yes we were up against the Irish buying mercs so we couldn’t compete against that but todays battle against Ireland is not funded with mercs but yet again I find myself in a position where I again have to ask for help as our laziness brought us in a position where it is needed to bring the balance back in our favour.
We have 25 MUs each commander gets orders through an ingame personal message and is shouted throughout the day on #MoD channel. I think it is pretty safe to say that everybody is informed on what is expected of them.
So why do I repeatedly come across the situation that my daily orders are not set on the requested battle?
Why should I be surprised if even this isn’t done properly that our two clicking herd will even fight for us.
I can only conclude that this is the reason why our 1-2-3 divisions keep losing their mini’s and we are basically losing a silly RW without our disciplined allies in TWO.
Todays Dublin fight should have finished by now if things weren't left to Sunday blues or whatever. In less than half an hour the NE battle on Denmark starts.
Any suggestions?
And no CoT trolls this question is not directed your way
Yours truly,

update: Denmark is launched already in Midtjy
You are right, we can do a lot to improve, starting with getting more people on the IRC!!!
all in my Military Manifesto of a Madman > take a look

Need to get Wayne to chip in a manifesto link now
I don't see how IRC is the answer here. MU commanders are already getting the orders sent to them, and if they set the DOs correctly then the average citizen would have to make an effort NOT to fight in the right battle. Plus some people will want to use their first 25 kills to complete the DO regardless of whether they know there's another more important battle out there.
I don't know if there's any way to track it, but maybe instead of/in addition to league tables of damage done, the MoD could put out tables of how often each MU is following the CotD? This could also determine who gets a mention at the bottom of the MoD articles.
The whole point is to make fighters less reliant on MU orders and more clued up to which battles actually need damage.
I understand that, but I'm not sure it's the people who would be willing to log in to IRC that are wasting their damage. If someone can't be bothered to look at the CotD, or check the MoD daily orders, or watch the shout feed, or make any other effort to find out where they should be fighting, are they really going to be bothered to log in to IRC? And IRC in no way fixes the fact that if the MU DO is wrong you're making people choose between fighting in the battle that the country needs them to fight in or getting their bazooka & energy bar rewards.
I'm not saying trying to get more people on the IRC channel is a bad thing, I'm just saying I don't think it fixes the issue that's been raised in this article.
Great article Mitte!!.Voted, shouted and subed. As BigAnt said ,you are right about everything Mitte becouse we can do a lot to improve,to gain more people on the IRC!!.
CoT troll reporting in o7
oh you 😛
i will not troll. Good luck Mitte, i have respect for you.
The sad thing is, the lackeys of TWO are to ignorant to understand trolling :/
Do I have to say sth or am I an obvious troll ? If yes, I go back to my cave as my job here is done : P
ANyway voted the article : )
Everyone wants more people on IRC, it is a base concern of the MoD and underpins our efficiency in the international arena.
I hope to see more incentives for soldiers and more people pushing for more activity from our great troops to make them even better, once we have harnessed our damage, we will be FAB 🙂
You'd never have guessed you're running for CP
loled (:
We had some mercs, while you had the thugs of TWO, and it was still very close. Sounds like you and your masters really do suck, lol.
Speak to your Commander and/or Reg captain about it.

UK is not lazy, you just suck.
A dread to all your friends, as you have to go begging for help with something you should have been able to handle yourselves - you said it yourself.
What are you going to do when your friends get sick of you? Make peace with us, we probably would not be interested - unless you grovel convincingly
cos no-one cares in the UK bar a mere handful.
MU leaders aren't obliged to do what the eUK government wants them to do. If they want to set orders in place x, then they can. If you don't like it, feel free to take away their org [assuming they have one].
uk has a divide in mu commanders it was shown in the military unit competition where the uk could have come top 50 yet due to certain commanders not wanting to put the past behind them for the good of the uk the uk failed to get into the top 50 as you can tell certain mu commanders choose to do what is good for them only so i can't say i'm surprised about the uk failings 😞
tbf:
Yes for UK's size your military capability is a little lacking.
However your FA's are amazing.
Considering your size, position, and the global level at which you play, perhaps your nation has made a wise decision in where to concentrate.
I love you mitte.
You're one of the people who made it very difficult for me to leave, and for what it is worth, if you need a little D4 damage (I'm really not very strong and can't afford to tank) at any point, just give me a shout.
We need to accept that we are a relatively weak nation, in eRep. Sometimes we forget this. When opponents, even weak ones, call in their friends and allies, we need to do the same. It's a fact of eUK life that, for most battles, we are reliant, to a greater or lesser extent, upon our allies.
The majority of the eUK population is either inactive, or effectively so. We probably get between 200 and 300 people logging in virtually every day. Of these, most will only login for a few minutes, once or twice a day. Even during peak times, in important battles, we'll be lucky to get close to 100 eUK players online at once. Even presidential elections typically get a mere 500 to 600 voters and most of those will only have logged in for a few minutes. Even then, a small but significant number of voters will probably be multies.
It's very difficult to organise effectively within such a setup and this is not an issue that only occurs in the eUK. These problems are eRep wide. All nations are reliant upon a tiny percentage of people who login for some hours each and every day. Unfortunately it's hard to organise when most of the army isn't there. The poor ingame messaging system doesn't help either.
I'm sure that there are changes that can be made to improve things but even then, the impact will be minor. Unless we have a series of baby booms, followed by high levels of retention, we will remain, for most battles, reliant upon our allies. Such a scenario seems unlikely to occur. At least in the foreseeable future.
For my part, I always give details of any important eUK battles on all 3 of my ingame feeds, (friends, MU & party) as soon as I notice the battle. We could start a campaign to encourage all patriotic citizens to do the same? If it took hold it would probably have some impact, for eUK battles at least. For important TWO battles, we are more reliant on the government to post details ingame and hope that it spreads in the same way.
