So, welcome to V1. The World where none of the things we asked as Testers has happened.
For starters, everything is double spaced. For people like me, who tend to "talk" a lot, that will become an issue, but a small one I suppose.
The changes to V1 will be shocking to begin with. Many of you, who didnt peek last week will be shocked at the formatting, the style changes, and some of the industry changes as far as my part goes. GM's can now simply post offers in the Human Resource Sections, and employees can accept them. This is an awesome change, and I'll explain.
For those who didnt use the previous system, the most recent 15 or so CV's added were on the first page when you went into the Human Resource Section as a GM. Then, once you chose "next page" it sorted by specialty. First Gifts, then Hospitals, then Housing, and so on. If you ran a Food company, in a country with a population more than 40, it took you literally 15 minutes to find decent applicants. Thats not even bringing up the fact that if you were higher than Q1 you actually had to enter the profiles to find people in your required skill range.
So, that's a good change.
In other news, Raw Materials are being produced in the "land" section extremely slowly. Existing companies were provided with 1000 Grain (I think default was 1000), but for higher quality companies that needed 4 Units of RM per item they produced (Aurum Arms comes to mind), it wasnt all that much. I work for Aurum Cuisine, soon to be Q5, and I produce 14 units of food per day. That means I need roughly 90 units of Grain just to produce the food I do during my work day.
The UK has set a minimum wage of 1 GBP. I would encourage all countries to do so, if they're considering the consequences, but that's just me. With all our skill in "land" at 0 that I can see, paying someone 5 GBP to produce .22 Grain just isnt going to be sustainable no matter which economy you work in, considering the "print money" option isnt available either to my knowledge.
They have released a new version of the spreadsheet for Natural Resources, as I don't think it matched what they had anticipated. I can say that one area in the UK is different to my knowledge, but I'll have to examine it closer.
On the Department of Trade front, our Raw materials proposal is in the Commons going through voting. Once it's completed, I'll receive the remainder of my budget, and go from there to dispurse what we had talked about. It will still work, and we'll still come out on top. Just need to push through some small differences, which I think we all saw that there would be some differences to how V1 was released compared to what we thought it would be.
For the first week or so, we'll all need to work together on Raw Materials. With the slow production, companies will be slow to produce things until skill levels get worked up, particularly in Grain, Diamonds, etc.
Anyhow, back to work for me.
Thanks for the ear,

I'd like to add that as raw materials are in such short supply, I'd suggest anyone who's not currently tight for cash gets into a job in raw materials, even if temporarily, just to ease us through this period.
I know I'm doing that.
Tanks for the advice Ip 😉
@Dish
Good article
Yeah, that would really help things out if people were to mass move to RM companies.
Good article. Dish there might be a slight problem with the plan we had in mind, although only a temporary set back.
P.S. What is the trackbacks tab for?
Prices of materials are probably going to be sky high at first...
Not if there are enough people producing RMs.

Our minimum wage is shockingly low compared to other countries if we face it though 🙁
