23 September 2009, Day 673 of the New World. TRENTON – The long-anticipated military action on the Atlantic coast began today with a United States attack against Russian-held New Jersey. An hour and a half later, the United States launched another attack, this one against French-held Maryland.

The border regions of New Jersey were secured within half an hour of the attack. At just over three hours into the first attack, the Russian defenses have been completely fought off. The Trenton Freeway is completely unobstructed and allied forces are digging in to defense of the region; the wall is now more than 400,000 into the underground. War correspondents travel freely throughout the city, and analysis predict that Russia will soundly lose the region.

With just over an hour and a half elapsed in the Maryland battle, the allied forces have beaten down the French wall. The region is not nearly as secure as New Jersey at this hour, but another American victory is expected.

New Jersey is the last Russian-held territory of the United States. Kentucky and Tennessee were liberated earlier. France still occupied the District of Columbia. Earlier today, Hungary decided to stop defending their conquered regions of North Dakota and Montana. Bismark and Helena are once more part of the United States.
