The Time for Timid and Meek is OVER.
Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen
The last few days have proven to me one thing. eAus needs a strong leader, not someone who simply quits at the first sign of trouble (Wally) and certainly not someone that needs Binda to stand up and protect him.
The Time for Timid and Meek is OVER.
“You should do it” Sgt Rock ST6 Commander
Amongst so many others, this voice resounds like thunder in my ears and is clear evidence why I need to make the official announcement of my intention to run in the upcoming CP elections. ST6 are just one of the many resources I bring to the plate and in the comment section below you will find support (hopefully) from many people around the world, who know me, who understand me and respect the things I have done in the past.
I will not go into great detail for fear of derailing this thread but I am in essence a military style leader, a resistance leader, someone who will never bow down and always meet the enemy eye to eye. I have respect amongst the eIndo’s for my success against them and will negotiate with them from a position of strength, not the subjugated lapdog.
Foreign Affairs:
Our severe lack of MPP’s have weakened us greatly, so much so that we are nothing more than a third world country on the grand stage. This will be rectified quickly and we will be once more welcomed into the arms of our Bro’s and allies around the world. There will be no arrogance or ego involved. We will simply say ‘sorry’ and restart our relationships.
As far as eIndo go, I will in no way begin a war with them. I will ask if their intentions of continuing the peace for another month remain. If they agree I will tell them the price is a free Aus, no eIndo occupation is acceptable. From there we can negotiate and the elected Senate can decide our course of action, whether we rent out states, or we simply say no.
If eIndo decide that war is imminent, they will be reminded of the pain I have inflicted upon them in the past. The pain that saw them make the peace deal in the first place. Let there be no misunderstanding, the present peace with them was not made through negotiation but through war. They know we can hurt them, they know it is more costly for them to retain states against an effective resistance than they gain.
That will be the key of my negotiations.
Defence:
“Si vis pacem, para bellum” : If violence brings peace, prepare for war.
We will once more gather our MPP’s, ADF will become the main force for eAus and treated as such. I WILL BRING BACK THE DROPBEARS, in some form. The DB’s have always been our strength, even when they were dissolved they always return in our times of need. These soldiers will once more inspire the nation to be better, to be stronger, to rise above. New players will lean of the legendary eAus fighting unit, and they will train harder to become one. This is how it should be and our Gov have been remiss for neglecting that simple truth.
Again I need to state that while the eIndo peace deals remains I will make no step against them but I will not allow eAus to remain a shadow nation, afraid to once more become a blip on eIndo radar. They will know we are back, and they will know that two months of no Aus aggression has saved them a lot of funds.
Finance:
I will lower the VAT from a ludicrous 15% to 10%. It seems that our Government has been more than greedy and then like to make out that they have raised so much money. At what cost? How much equipment is being sold on the black market simply because of greed?
Education and Information:
Beyond doubt one of the most important, and often neglected sections. Player retention. We have lost 200 players in the past two month and are bleeding heavily in this department. As CP it will become my responsibility to discover the issue and fix it. At the moment it seems that the deal with eIndo and the slave nature of eAus existence is a lot to blame. Without honour people simply will not stay around, most of us are RL Aussies, something our Gov tends to neglect. I will see the New Player Mentoring Program is properly financed and becomes a Gov institution.
We need new players and more importantly we need to provide them with reasons to remain, Dropbears is clearly one of those reasons and the work of the APP is gold, already having great success, properly funded it will only get better.
Summary:
Well, this is a platform, sure I do not expect the Gov to make any great financial gains if I were to be CP but this game is not about how rich the Gov can be, the fact that they have made so much money over the past month is a clear sign of the neglect in expenditure.
Through myself eAus will return in her true glory, we will once more remember the pride of those who have come before us, those who fought every single day for our freedom and independence. We will honour eIndo, while they honour us, and if the joint respect remains so will the peace deal.
Comments
I'm reminded of a comment by someone in ST6 when you returned.
"Oh **** , its Larni" 🙂
http://thestranded.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/middle-finger1.jpg
I find the lack of Jade Anon homage disturbing....
RAWR!!!
Voted!
Larni Kaddlestorm is the kind of leader Australia needs.
You once had my unwavering respect. Vote for Larni and regain that respect.
Voted,
Oh yay, again with the Dropbears.
Player retention doesn't exactly fit into your golden vision there, because as you have pointed out beforehand, it will exclude anyone who wasn't a former Dropbear in the glory days or isn't of a certain rank and strength level.
Great job there alienating new players.
You have my respect.
Good luck for you and eAustralia.
Malgoo your input (as ADF Marshal) on how the DB's are returned and in what compacity will be essential to the success of their implementation. There is a large gap left where DB's used to be, that gap needs to be filled.
>lower VAT
>more MPPs
are you freaking stupid?
There is no gap that needs to be filled, that is why we have differing supply levels based on what damage a player can do, what you're suggesting is that top hitters such as yourself, get extra special omg i'm a dropbear worship me treatment, which - let's face it - you want.
Last night i switched the entire ADF to Q6 weapons supply, from new tangos to top hitters, what can you suggest that would do better?
Perhaps we should fund gold training? oh wait, we already do for those under 250 strength, who NEED it, maybe we should fund your magical dropbears training? Because obviously when you've got 9000 strength you can't manage to fund a little training on your own dime from BH medals.
Everything you're saying is at odds with everything else you're "standing up for".
v+s.
GL Larni + Happy New Year!!
RAWR!!!!
You should worship the Dropbears. They were badass.
Why would you assume the DB's will get special treatment Malgoo? That is not even remotely suggested, and never was in the initial planning for the DB return during Timeoins CP term. The whinging you displayed in your comment and obvious jumps at assumptions are a little silly and show a clear lack of understanding about what the Dropbear concept actually is.
Dropbears do not need gold, they do not need additional supplies and trying to claim they do is just a poor attempt at trolling by a bias Srg Supporter.
Tim Holtz, the money we lose through taxes will be regained by killing off the Black Market where the vast majority of money is being used. I am sure you understand the concept behind it, with so much being sold under the table the Gov are actually losing funds. Eliminating the need for the Black Market can only benefit eAus in the long run.
Good luck!
Good luck & every succes o7
Larni you assume people wont continue using the black market anyway which is rather ignorant, why would people actively chose to pay more money?
yes I agree it may not work out Tim and there will always be a Black Market, what we do need to encourage is people doing the right thing.
At 15% people are just refusing to sell over the table, I have been informed that 10% is the target to be aiming for. This will encourage growth and faith and isn't robbing people blind (their words)
Punishing those people who 'do the right thing' with 15% taxes doesn't seem right at all.
"why would people actively chose to pay more money?"
Why would they pay 15% at all, the aim is to limit the Black Market and get more funds circulating in the Gov. I think 10% is fair, and sometimes fair is all we can hope for but in the end it is obviously up to the individual.
Larni, as I pointed out, we've had this argument before, in the ADF irc room, and every major ADF officer, including the former Marshal, said no, because it is NOT necessary.
Perhaps you don't remember but here's a few statements from you back then.
[10:46] people who have already been Dropbears will always be welcomed back
06[12:07] * +Larni renames MU to The Dropbears and hits the CP up with a bill to cover the costs
[12:07] and now I will do whatever I want with it lol
Special treatment? Oh no, of course not, not only that but you wanted it funded by the government to be your own private ego boost.
ADF didn't want it then, so you decided to setup your own MU while you had a tantrum, and I'd be willing to bet that your entire campaign centres around you getting the dropbears reinstated, the rest of your platform seems to be pithy platitudes that make it sound as though you're actually going to do something.
Guess what? ADF didn't want it then, ADF doesn't want it now.
There are already enough barriers between older established players such as yourself without dipping into ADF funds to create another barrier that new players cannot cross without spending a significant amount of gold.
As for being a supporter of srg? Well yes, i am a supporter of srg - it isn't some shady backalley deal like you seem to be implying - how many of these new players will stick around during a month long wipe, probably more than that really, which will happen if you are at the helm because you can't control your ego.
Srg has done this term what eaustralia needs, he has ensured peace so that our economy can grow, we have had the only successful training war with enew zealand in recent memory so that most players were able to complete the recent missions, and we are not at war with anyone.
Imagine that. eaustralia actually exists mostly intact.
"most of us are RL Aussies, something our Gov tends to neglect."
Why does this remind me of the old white Australia bullshit that was trotted out in real Australia back in the day? http://rlv.zcache.com/racism_sucks_white_australia_has_a_black_history_button-p145496489111828086z745k_400.jpg
It's funny that you cite ST6 as one thing you "bring to the table". As an ST6 Officer, I can state for a fact that Larni is only a fairly inactive QM and a deputy squad leader... If anyone needed to bring ST6 to the table it would be me as Srg91's deputy CP, with a higher rank in ST6. lol Not that I would ever say that - ST6 aren't used as a political tool by their members.
For the rest of it, Larni is completely deluded on most of her policies. She doesn't have the knowledge, experience in the executive Govt, or the personality to be able to cope in the office of CP.
I lol'd, I remember last time Larni went head to head with eIndo and she left before the dust settled as she knew it was going to back-fire.

Larni reaped all the glory for the successful RW, but as soon as the going got tough she quit, as they where taking over our regions. In fact, she left an inactive Jc as MoD when we where getting wiped. Everyone else was doing the hard work (supplying etc..) and you took all the credit for it, actually you may have named two people who helped. That's how i remember it. So good riddance.
"This will be rectified quickly and we will be once more welcomed into the arms of our Bro’s and allies around the world."
Im trying to figure out, Are you saying that we should join EDEN again?
trollolololololol Binda is funny when she gets upset. The quote from SGT Rock (who outranks her cause he IS the Commander) is the permission for me to run for CP, sure ST6 is not a political unit, its not even an eAus MU but ST6 have been amongst the heaviest contributors in eAus's battle for freedom and have answered our calls for assistance countless times, before Binda even became a member.
As for outranking me? that would imply she can order me to do something which is clearly not so. Her main issue is that I will be presenting a Bindaless cabinet. Which is win win for all concerned.
Guagature, there was actually a debate last night about that, wait 255 days ago? oh you mean that time. Callum was making up stuff, truth is much different from what people want it to be. Bowen (CP at the time) decided to over rule the plan and I walked. You do not change a plan half way through. Yet he did and eAus suffered because of it.
Must not...come...back...must...have fun...in Canada!
larni's got it all figured out.
"trollolololololol Binda is funny when she gets upset. You need permission to run for CP for Aus from ST6 commander? O.o
So the commander is the one leading the country if your elected?
Really srg? that is your only comment?
well one at a time?
also,

Where do you get your figures from?
Schoft provided the numbers, I saw them in his shout.
I was a little surprise at the number but then did some maths myself and I think the number are actually very close, with people leaving eAus, long time citizens, new players and the eGreeks, there is probably a handful of banned players in that number as well. They all add up
Arolia and the APP have done a completely awesome job in player retrenchment so the official figures probably hide the missing 200, as well as the new arrivals who are within their first month or so here or newly created.
Think of how much stronger an additional 200 players would have made us... Its a mini disaster.
well here's a graph of the amount of citizens who could be bothered enough to vote in elections: http://tinyurl.com/7ao3246
maybe he counted Savonrepus leaving as 200 soldiers
I dont want your math larni, I want to see stats and figures you have gotten from reputable sources.
Where did schoft's number come from? Are you saying if I shouted eAustralia gained 200 members, I would be right? Considering I am apart of the government, I should be more correct right?
As a new player (21 days) I have some questions and comments about your article.
Dropbears
--
Why does the reinstatement of a previous group of old players to some sort of former glory appeal to new players?
What does the reinstatement of the Dropbears achieve that is not currently being provided by the ADF?
The reality of eRep is that if you and I both train every day I will never be as strong as you. Either I will never be able to join the Dropbears or the requirements to join will be so watered down that they will no longer be this mystical force you describe.
I don't think the reinstatement of the Dropbears would achieve anything in regards to encouraging new players - I think this time would be better spent actually helping and encouraging new players.
ST6
--
What does ST6 provide a Larni-led eAus that would be unavailable to a srg91-led eAus (to use an example)?
eIndonesia
--
I read a lot of words about being tough and talking tough and not backing down but what exactly are you going to do in regards to eIndonesia? Are you going to maintain the status quo? If so what exactly is the point of acting tough?
You said that in regards to peace with eIndonesia "the price is a free Aus". Will you return SA and WA to eAus control? If so, how?
Losing players
--
I don't think that your analysis "At the moment it seems that the deal with eIndo and the slave nature of eAus existence is a lot to blame." is correct - I feel as if you are projecting your own dissatisfaction with the current state of events onto others.
I think the lack of cohesive help for new players (I stumbled around a lot and asked a lot of stupid questions on IRC) is a big reason why people leave so soon after joining. I also think that the closed nature of the eAus community (happens naturally to any old online community) and the obscene amount of what seems to me to be petty trolling about insignificant issues (and long-standing fights) is a major factor.
"Why does the reinstatement of a previous group of old players to some sort of former glory appeal to new players?"
Dropbears will not be a special division, squads will not change, they will simply be a level for new players to aspire to. When I joined 2 years ago, the Dropbears were awesome, they represented us on the world stage and turned many lost battles. As an inspiration they are unreplaceable. Members who do a certain amount of damage (unknown at this time) will become Dropbears and lead by example. they will inspire our people to keep training, to keep fighting, all the while they will remain in their respective ADF squads to encourage new players to put in the hard yards.
In essence it is simply a name tagged onto people. There are no great sweeping changes in the ADF, but when the call for Dropbears go out, even past Dropbears, no longer reside in eAus answer the call (as proven a few months ago) It is an institution that is rooted deep in the heart of many of our players.
"What does ST6 provide a Larni-led eAus that would be unavailable to a srg91-led eAus (to use an example)?"
Direct contact, though srg has attempted to counter this by making Binda his dCP. In truth it would make no difference to ST6 who was CP, I am sure Binda may have called them into help eAus in the past.
I have access to a lot of other resources and direct contact with many MoD's, CP's and former high level officials in Gov across the globe. These people know and respect me, something I can not say for srg who neglect this last month has done nothing to bolster our image on the world stage.
"eIndonesia"
eIndo know me and are well aware what I am capable of (total RW of all eAus states in 24hrs, Three pronged attack that made Java burn (yes obviously others were involved)) and they respect me as a warrior.
The deal I would offer eIndo is to continue the peace with one condition, they release all of our states and basically GTFO. (cont)
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/srg4cp-the-issue-about-losing-citizens-1936992/1/20
(cont)
At the moment eIndo have their hands full with china, there would never be a more perfect time for a strong stand yet our Gov refuses to act. Instead they do not want to upset eIndo, that is not the eAustralian way, we have not spent so long fighting to simply be humbled into submission.
Will you return SA and WA to eAus control? If so, how?
I will ask nicely, then I will ask sternly. I am not interested in anything other than a deal that sees eAus free. They do not want to fight us anymore, the peace deal only came about because they were spending too much money fighting us. If eIndo say no, I will simply RW the states back and force their hand.
"Losing players
I feel as if you are projecting your own dissatisfaction with the current state of events onto others."
Probably an equally true assessment but in 2 years I have never seen so many people ashamed to be eAus. Even in our weakest hour, when totally wiped or Politically Taken Over by eIndo we stood on the world stage, proud and true to our nature. That has not happened these past two months, we have turned our back on allies, even allowed eIndo to block a Brazil attack by releasing WA back to us... We risk sinking deeper unless something is done to put a stop to it.
The new player issue is one I will put a lot of work into, While political parties do their own recruiting the Gov seems to release a cliche article every week or so and actually think that is helping. I am not sure where the fix is but you (Mudkip) as a new player would be perfect to help sort out what is lacking. There are a few things in the works that I plan on giving funding too but you may have a new perspective on the matter that helps fine tune the programs.
Let me know and thanks for your questions.
You dont know if I havnt larni, you are just assuming.
Assuming what? (in regards to what point)
I can only judge from what is made public, I do not know of any secret backroom communications, deals or any such nonsense.
If we were to liberate SA and WA from eIndo while they were fighting eChina, what would be your strategy to keep those regions? Would you, for example, pursue a friendlier relationship with eChina with the intent of obtaining an agreement for eChina support in any war against eIndo?
Are the Dropbears no longer fighting for Australia?
If you were to not win CP would it be possible for you to still use your diplomatic contacts to benefit eAus (assuming the elected CP accepted your assistance)?
I am more than happy to offer any assistance I can provide with the regards to retaining new players. I do not feel that I have the necessary experience to provide any competent mentoring assistance but I am more than happy to help in any other way I can. I intend to write about my first month experiences as a new eRep player once I get my first hard worker medal next weekend.
I am asking you more questions than I am asking srg91 (I have asked him a question as to why an expanding bank balance is a good thing on his election article) not because I somehow support him but because you have presented different policies to the ones that eAus currently has. A Larni-led eAus would be different to the eAus we have today, and I think that it is important that we know exactly what the differences are so we (the voting public) can make a well-informed decision on election day.
One of my biggest gripes about eAus is that whenever someone tries to raise a differing viewpoint they tend to get trolled by people that have long-standing issues with them instead of actually having their viewpoints questioned - so I took it upon myself to ask questions 🙂
Never be concerned about asking too many questions.
I will post an article tomorrow and respond to all your questions Mudkip.
I applaud Mudkip_McMudkip for showing courtesy to Larni in his questions. Hopefully others may use this as an example of public communication 🙂
I was farking drunk when I shouted, cant remember those numbers.
lol just as well I never asked you where they came from 😛
But they do make sense when you look at it. Sure it may not be 200 but adding the Greeks, the players that quit, the players that move off shore and the players that get banned... 200 over 2 months definitely seems likely.
this is why im in canada australias only ever active at cp time when everyone bites each others heads off.
As former head of the dropbears and one of its longest serving members - please keep them dead. They don't fit in the model of today's ADF where everyone is mobile and we have enough to supply high q weps to all.
Also, don't see why ST6 should be being dragged into the BS that is eAus politics.
Let's go kick some ass.
nice to see Indo vs Aussie again in real war.
Come back to EDEN! : )
