Russia joins Iran, Indonesia, and Colombia in the list of invaders to be expelled from the North American continent. France is expected to join that list now that the United States and its allies are attacking the District of Columbia; French-held Maryland is expected to fall within the next few hours.

The mood in the United States remains highly optimistic and determined. Hungary still controls Washington state and Alaska, as well as three Canadian regions, but the allied push to liberate North America has been wildly successful since the United States went on this offensive on 19 September (Day 669).

The hero of the American effort was Josh Frost, who took home his twenty-fourth battle hero award. The defensive hero was Teknik, a Turk. The closing moments of the struggle were not spectacular; the allied forces had the region secure within hours of the attack.
