Do you remember the last summit of eRepublik?
Do you remember the features that were introduced at the summit?
Do you remember they said it would be implemented until the end of 2013?
Have you seen those features in the game? Well, I didn't ...
In the last summit we were told about a few features that are going to be implemented during 2013. Most of those features were not implemented yet. Below, the promised features and its progress, according to my knowledge:
1. New user experience (TEST ONLY)
2. New anti-multies features (NO PROGRESS)
3. New battle page (NO PROGRESS)
4. New weapons design (NO PROGRESS)
5. New improved bazooka (NO PROGRESS)
6. New forum (IMPLEMENTED)
7. Fixing economy (NO PROGRESS)
8. Military units improvement (IMPLEMENTED)
9. More events (IMPLEMENTED)
As you can see, only a few features were implemented until now, but the most important ones, like the economy, the new user experience and the anti-multies features haven't been implemented yet.
However, eRepublik has introduced many other features during 2013-2014! I made a list of those features and to be honest, eRepublik did well with adding new features .. but it is a shame that some of them aren't helpful at all:
1. Battle boosters (Temporary feature)
2. Determination bonus (Great feature)
3. Weekly challenge (Great feature)
4. Occupied regions tax (Hurts small nations)
5. New packs to buy (Hurts non gold buyers)
6. Gift a friend (Its use is not as it suppose to be)
7. New divisions system (Problematic)
8. Guerrilla fights improvements (Great feature)
9. Decorations on profile page (Useless)
10. Freedom fighter achievement (Great feature)
11. Power spin (temporary feature)
12. Empires (Just a visual symbol)
13. Weekly leaderboards (Good feature)
14. National shield (Good feature)
15. New countries (No progress)
16. Gold mines (It was fun for big countries)
17. Alliances (Just made it more official)
18. Work tax (Good feature)
19. Military units chat (Great feature)
20. Military unit tweaks (Great feature)
21. Visual changes in some pages (why not)
As you can see, eRepublik admins have been working hard to implement new features, even though that it came (at least until now) instead of other great features that should have been implemented already.
eRepublik, we are still waiting to see the features you promised us last year, so please, stop implementing other features and start working on the economy and other promised features! You are loosing players in every day that passes and the game just becomes more and more boring. Come on, make us stay here!

Depends in which side you are. The new items are great and the new damage system is just awesome. The new damage bonus is just how it is supposed to be. The bugs are something else of course.
I'm complaining about new weapons range. There is no more strategy in this module! You can defeat a Titan and to be defeated by a newbie in the next minute. I used to win more GF with a -2 bonus, but with some strategy, then now, with +2 bonus, and with no luck.
Well, I am talking about the improvements, not about the GF feature. Indeed, there is a lot of luck in it! I won a few fights because of luck but also lost many. I miss a lot with a sniper from 700M while my opponent hits me with a pistol from this range (sometimes). The new damage bonus is good for those who play a bit or not so good in that, it used to be maximum 30 damage bonus when it was first introduced, then they changed it to maximum 4 and now it's max 2, which is the best in my opinion.
You can still see people, especially Romanians, with great W/L ratio, so I think the guerrilla is fine, but they should change it a bit to make it more strategic .. this whole game needs some strategy mate.
For some reason I have a shitton of guerrilla stuff from the power spin, and I can't buy more stuff it says inventory full. So the things that I actually need, I can't purchase.

1. Combat orders available through MU
2. MU Chat is now available for all units
3. MU tournaments are implemented more often
4. You can now choose an access to your unit.
It hasn't changed a lot, but they did change many things ..
apart from the chat the rest is useless... we need real changes in this section ...for an example to make the MU as organizations to be able to have their own income and companies so that there will be founds available to use for CO.
I would pass on it, there are many other things that need to be fixed! I agree with you that the MU feature itself has to be changed, it should be more "serious". I once offered an in-game supply system for MU, I thought it may make the MU a bit better. But as you can see, my suggestion wasn't read by any admins I guess.

although I believe guerrilla still sucks
happened many times to miss by a sniper in 700 m and got shot by a pistol at the same time.
also guerrilla bonuses are not fair, who is good at it will win more and the one who is weaker will loose more than what he was supposed to loose
Guerrilla indeed has a lot of luck in it and many bugs as well. But this year eRepublik made some nice improvements! First of all, the old damage bonus was much higher, the highest damage bonus now is 2 and it depends on your W/L ration. Also don't forget that you will fight with a player with close GF experience to yours, if there is one available. The new damage system is great! Whether you win or lose, you earn a lot of damage.

eRepublik is degenerating into mob rule, where players from bigger countries dictate how the game should run.
Forget about adding new countries. Fix the discrepancy between players from smaller nations and larger nations first. Eliminate the occupied regions tax. Bigger countries already have much more money than smaller ones. Change the resource bonuses from 20% per resource to 10% or 0%. They already have more players. Giving them bonuses for occupying smaller countries just makes liberating them in the long-term almost impossible. Enable citizenship approval for occupied nations. These nations are the ones who need more players and you take that function out if the country is occupied? WTF? Occupied countries are losing players faster than other countries because there is no point in playing. I could care less if we are outnumbered, but we are outproduced due to lack of resource bonuses. All things being equal, it takes *two* of us occupied citizens to match *one* citizen who has all the resources to even the productivity field. And these citizens are from countries with already larger player-bases. It's almost impossible, I would say evil, for players from smaller countries.
The current game mechanics promote empires and one-world governments. Nothing bad in itself, but it hurts the game by discouraging diversity and players from different nations. Heck, an occupied citizen should have *more* productivity than a citizen from an empire to make things equal. I could write an article about this but I don't have time. There's other worlds to sing in.
We are all informed about the fact that eRepublik is not balanced and it doesn't based on any strategy but a "push to win" system, the one who spends more wins. I have a lot to say about this topic either, but it will be a waste of time as no one will listen to it anyway.
The only good military version was V2(Since it was on a map) but it need some changes ...
